  Worst experience—this is the second time this has happened. I initially removed my previous review thinking it might have been a one-time issue, but unfortunately, it wasn’t. The salon at JCPenney has extremely unprofessional and rude staff. The front desk employee, who is usually present, asked if I had an appointment. I told her I was there to schedule an appointment for hair color. After that, she completely ignored me and continued chatting with her coworker about money-related matters. I was left standing there without any acknowledgment. Basic customer service means pausing personal conversations or at least informing a customer that you’ll assist them shortly. Instead, I was made to wait awkwardly while being ignored. The staff also seems greedy and inconsistent with pricing. Prices appear to change frequently, and they try to add extra charges—even small amounts like $5—without clear justification. After standing there for about two minutes with no response, I finally left. The staff member didn’t seem affected at all. This place clearly lacks professionalism and respect for customers. Zero respect for customers at this salon.

  Naglaa Salma was very nice and she did a good job on my hair this was my first time getting my hair dyed and she did a great job on taking care of my hair and I hope to come to this salon again ❤️❤️🙏

  Horrible!! Extremely appalling experience for me!! I’ve tried to give this salon multiple chances, but my experience has always been consistently awful, except for some rare times. The hair stylists here seem to be good only at basic blow-drying. But styling and coloring (especially without bleach) have always been a struggle!! Every time I’ve gotten stylists who were either rude, disinterested, or simply unwilling to do the job properly. I’ve had confirmed appointments only to be told upon arrival that the service can’t be done multiple times, forcing me to settle for something else after wasting both my time and trip. I had even submitted a formal complaint to the management once, but clearly nothing meaningful has been done still! My recent visit was the most horrible experience ever! I wanted hair cut+highlights done. I was assigned to a stylist “Yohaney” who was extremely rude, dismissive, and visibly lazy!! Do not ever choose her! She’s terrible! She straight out refused to do the job. Only coz it was 4.30 pm and she wanted to leave early by 6 pm (an hour before closing time)— which shouldn’t have been my problem, since I had a confirmed appointment. So, I received only a partial service with another stylist. This was particularly upsetting because it was my birthday the next day. The only saving grace that day was Kerri at the front desk, who handled the situation with a professional attitude and empathy and helped me. After being reassigned to another stylist (who was well-spoken and polite), my hair was completely ruined! Despite showing a clear photo reference of a feather cut I wanted and reminding her to retain my hair length multiple times, she chopped off my waist-length hair all the way up to my shoulders with no visible layers! All the hair gone and no layers literally. And that too, after she took off 7-8 inches! It was infuriating!! Looked like a regular hair trim with no layers. My hair now looks awful unless I style it with heat after every wash, which is extremely frustrating for me! Overall, this has been an extremely distasteful and upsetting experience especially because it was my birthday the next day. My hair is ruined, my time wasted, and my trust gone. I would strongly advise against visiting this place unless you know the stylists from before. They definitely need training in hairstyling and also professional communication with customers! I WOULD NEVER IN MY LIFE GO HERE AGAIN AND WOULD ADVISE EVERYONE THE SAME!
