I had a very disappointing experience at your store. I ran out of my foundation, so finding a replacement was important to me. I asked a staff member for a shade match for Armani, and I was told it was not available. When I asked for help with other foundation options, I clearly explained that I wanted a well-established, popular brand that has been on the market for years. Despite repeating this multiple times, the associates continued to push newer TikTok-promoted brands, including Makeup by Mario and another brand I was unfamiliar with, rather than listening to what I was asking for. It felt more like they were promoting specific products than actually helping a customer. Eventually, I received no real assistance and had to go aisle by aisle testing foundations on my own. Later, when one of the same assistants saw me again, she rudely said, “You are still here?” while making a facial expression that felt dismissive and disrespectful. This behavior was unprofessional and made me feel uncomfortable in the store. Sephora is known for customer service and expertise, which is why this experience was especially disappointing. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, as no customer should be treated this way when simply asking for help.

I visited this Sephora with my mom to celebrate my birthday, and the start of our trip was really disappointing. We came in looking for Rhode products, and my mom showed a representative a picture from a Sephora email ad that clearly had the brand name on it. Instead of helping, the representative acted rude and unwelcoming. She kept repeating that she did not know what the brand was or what the product was, then turned her back on my mom while she was still talking. When my mom told me what happened, I went over to the same representative to ask about Rhode myself. The moment I said the brand name, she suddenly knew exactly what I was talking about, which showed that she clearly did know the brand the first time. Even then, she still refused to actually help and only said it was on some back wall without offering any direction or guidance. I later learned from the cashier that she was a brand representative named Amanda. Thankfully, the rest of the staff made up for that negative interaction. My cashier was incredibly kind and understanding, and another representative named Jessica went out of her way to help us find what we needed. Their professionalism made a huge difference and helped turn the experience around. I hope management addresses the behavior of the brand rep we encountered, because customers deserve respect and basic courtesy. I am grateful for the team members who treated us with care, because they truly saved our visit.

11/25/25 I received a Beauty Insider Exclusive postcard in the mail for 20% off my purchase, and 30% off all Sephora products. There was no start date, the pc simply said “Ends Sunday, December 14”. It was addressed directly to me. So I took my sister to show her a few of the product lines I buy from Sephora as she is looking for a new skin care regimen. I shop at Sephora Cherry Hill a few times a year, and I look forward to the wonderful service from knowledgeable staff who always help me find what I need. Today, however, was a complete disappointment. No greeter to ask if we need assistance, so we walked around the store and I pointed out Charlotte Tilbury, Farmacy, Laneige, Tatcha, Dior and a few other product lines- and not one associate offered to help us. We went to the makeup section, and we spent about 20 minutes at the Sephora products- again, no one asked if we needed help (when clearly we did.) The store wasn’t even busy. Finally, we went to Charlotte Tilbury at the front of the store, still no greeter. I spent at least 10 minutes trying different foundation products on my hand- and not one associate came up to me. We finally head to check out, and I asked about the Beauty Insider discount as my products were being rung up. The woman who was probably a manager, said, “ No, we don’t have anything like that. You missed the last event, it ended November 10th.” She was loud and she was annoyed. When I described the postcard, she said “Did you bring it in? Maybe it has a barcode that needs to be scanned.”, In a pretty condescending voice. Long story short, she looks beyond me at the line and said to the shoppers waiting, “I’m sorry for the wait, I didn’t know they were going to take so long.” We were mortified! I stepped aside and called customer service, and as kind and professional as the rep was on the phone, she also said no such special exists. We left the store in complete frustration for the rudeness we experienced, and went to a competitor, where we spent about $300 and got exactly what we needed for a better price. As soon as I got home, I grabbed the postcard, and what do you know… it’s exactly as I described. “Ends Sunday, December 14”. I wish I could load a photo of the postcard for proof! It was such a bad experience, there’s no way I’ll go back. I rarely leave bad reviews, but unfortunately I think this is how they now treat shoppers who don’t fit their ideal client profile. If you’re 45 or older, go to Nordstrom’s.
