    I wanted to get my ears pierced again and the only place known to me was Claire’s. I always park by the Cherry Hill Mall by the Apple Store. I wasn’t in the mall for more than a minute when I looked over and saw this brightly lit shop that had large signs for piercings by nurses. I couldn’t believe my luck. I was immediately greeted by Dominique who has the energy of teenager, but the salesmanship and intelligence of an adult. She was engaging and interested in my wants and my needs. She also offered me different budget options. I loved hearing they use both needles and the gun. I made my selection, went through an easy intake and Nurse Felicia took me back to a room away from public view. I confided in Felicia that I was neurodivergent and loved that I could get my ears pierced behind a wall and not on display like Claire’s. Felicia checked my ears and they were open! She didn’t need to use the needle or gun! This saved me a lot of money. I told her my ears were closed, but Felicia trusted her intuition. Despite my anxiety, I felt very at ease by everyone. I also loved the selection of earrings. I’m already planning my return for hoops and I only want Felicia to pierce my ears. If you’re a neurodivergent adult or child, especially on the autism spectrum, Rowan Piercing at the Cherry Hill Mall is fantastic!

    @Rowan customer service, please don't reply with some sort of pre-made PR response about how sorry you are to hear of my bad experience, please contact us at "1-800-customer -service" so that we may discuss the situation, your business is highly important to us, blah blah blah. I don't want to hear it. Nothing makes me angrier than when I leave a bad review and the company doesn't actually care they just have a response already typed up and it's soulless. With that being said, Let me just say the reason that I left such a low score is because I was informed AFTER my child's piercings that this location did not accept cash. If it wasn't for the fact that the people working there seem to be quite pleasant and did a good job I would have simply said I don't have any other forms of payment so it's cash or nothing. Number one take cash. There is no reason why the customer needs to use a debit card or a credit card or their phone to make payments. In my opinion these are highly unsecure ways to exchange currency and I use them only in certain cases. All someone has to do is have the technology and they can steal all the money out of your bank account but if you want to take my cash you're going to have to fight me for it, you're going to get close up and personal. That's why I use cash because I trust it. I Don't trust Banks I don't trust the government and neither has given me or you any reason to do so. Our current administration is very dangerous and as a person of color as a person who supports different marginalized communities I do not need a company or the government tracking what bye-bye where I buy it and when I buy it. But more than all of that which some will say is simply paranoia, everybody's Free to have an opinion even if it's wrong, it's bad business to not inform people. I can understand if you don't take paper checks they are pretty much at this point irrelevant but cash isn't. I was offended and that's why you got a one star. Do better, you're a business the customer should be the most important if it isn't just say it isn't and we can all just stop using your company because we can get ears pierced anywhere including using a safety pin some alcohol a lighter. What do you think we did back in the '80s? And my ears are still here they didn't fall off or get infected in turn green.🖕🏾

    My daughter and I had a fantastic experience today with Loodjie & Dom. This was my daughter’s first piercing and both were so helpful in explaining the process and options available (needle vs device) and putting her at ease. The facility is so clean and inviting and it’s such a bonus that nurses do the actual piercing. We will absolutely be going back for future piercings!

    Had an earlobe piercing performed on a Saturday. By mid-week the pain was getting bad. By Friday, unbearable. Contacted Rowan and a “Nurse” reviewed a pic I sent and determined that swelling and redness are normal. As it turned out, it was an infection. Rowan basically says that it is my fault when I followed their verbal instructions. No printed aftercare instructions were provided. Beware! It seems to me the piercing device did not function properly as the earring was so tight on my lobe that an infection occurred.

We pierce babies as young as 2 months old. We require one DTaP vaccine for children ages 5 and under.
