  went to the mall for a mommy-and-daughter day and brought my two girls in for haircuts. When I checked in, the stylist told me the wait would be 30–45 minutes. At the time, there was only one customer in a chair and three stylists present—one working, one at the front, and one on lunch. I had no issue waiting, so we walked around the mall and returned after the stated wait time. When we came back, one additional customer had arrived. I sat down expecting my girls would be next, especially since I overheard the other customer say she did not have a reservation. However, she was taken before us, and I was then told we would need to wait another 30–45 minutes. At that point, I decided to leave. My girls were extremely disappointed. What made the situation worse was the unprofessional behavior of the staff—the stylist with the short black bob smirked while telling me we had to wait longer, and another stylist who had finished her lunch looked over at us and instructed the first stylist to extend our wait. I can’t help but question whether we were treated differently, as all the other customers were white and my daughters and I are of Asian heritage. Regardless, the experience was disorganized, discourteous, and unprofessional. I will not be returning and would not recommend this place to others.

  UPDATE: It has been almost 3 weeks and I have yet to hear back from the manager. No one EVER answers the phone. I didn't get a call back for a week and when I did it was someone telling me "the manager was on vacation this week". Ok so why didnt they call me the week before or the week after their vacation?? The person I spoke with, Liza, said she would speak to the stylist and then call me back the next day. That was 12 DAYS AGO. I have called again this week and left a message asking to speak to the manager. Complete disregard. I have yet to get my hair fixed elsewhere because I want my money back and have offered to Liza to come in and show them proof that the haircut is messed up. So I've spent 3 weeks with a haircut that is messed up and makes me so unhappy and no one there cares at all! DONT GO HERE! ...................................................... I just got the worst cut of my life! I went home with wet hair and blow dried it at home. That's when I noticed every section that I check is not even. The left side very obviously longer than the right. It is not properly layered, and looks horrible! I wanna cry. I don't know how someone listed as "A Master Stylist and has been working at JCP Salon for 20+ years" can possibly be this bad, and still be working there, let alone for 20+ years! I never write bad reviews, but I am so beyond upset!

  Let me start by saying I love JCpenny. I shop there often and even buy my glasses there. I never write reviews, but I feel this needs to be heard. I went in for a partial foil.. spent $120 and my hair barley looked any different / lighter. The hair dresser passed me over to another stylist half way through my service because she had another client who was upset with her service earlier that day. DO NOT RECOMMEND at all. Extremely upset with the quality I received. I will no longer be a customer of JCpenny after my experience.

  They always have great stylists but make sure you make an appointment they are real busy so even though they have a sign that says walk-ins welcome there is usually not an opening for walk-ins.
