  I've been going here for a little over a year and never a problem. I was getting shaggy and my beard was beginning to look like a ZZ Top member. Amanda, who've I had a couple of times did a bang up job. Very nice and thankfully, not too talkative- I've been to places where the person will talk your ear off, mostly about politics or sports (Yawn). Prices may be a little high on some things, but that seems to be the case everywhere these days. Recommended.

  The women working in Gilford NH do a great job cutting hair. The manager was rude and not very friendly. We will no longer go to Great Clips i Gilford.

  They should be called Great butchers. I told the girl what I wanted. Just a trim and walked out looking like a boy! I would not recommend this place to anyone! 😭

  What happened at Great Clips in Gilford, NH yesterday morning was absolutely unacceptable, especially for a business that works with children. My four-year-old son left his appointment with multiple cuts on his head. Kylie—the stylist responsible—only pointed out one small cut, and we later found a large, obvious, painful-looking cut that she didn’t bother to mention. For any parent, this is alarming. Haircuts should be safe. Kids should not leave bleeding. Instead of showing concern, Kylie immediately tried to blame the cuts on my son having “sensitive skin.” My child has been getting haircuts since he was one year old and has never been injured like this. Her excuse was careless and dismissive. And beyond the cuts—which is the most serious issue—she also butchered his haircut. We asked for a fade with finger-length on top. What he got was almost a shaved head, uneven, choppy, and nothing close to what we requested. His skin was cut, and his hair was butchered. When my wife returned to ask for a refund, Kylie didn’t apologize, didn’t take responsibility, and didn’t show an ounce of genuine concern. Instead, she became defensive, insisted she had apologized when she hadn’t, and even tried to justify cutting a child by saying he “didn’t seem hurt.” The lack of empathy for a four-year-old was shameful. To make matters worse, she flat-out refused any accountability and refused the refund entirely. I also called Great Clips’ corporate line after this incident—and I still have not heard back. The silence is concerning. Accidents happen, but what happened here was beyond an accident. It was careless, dismissive, and handled with complete indifference. Parents deserve to know when a stylist shows this little regard for a child’s safety and comfort. We will not be returning, and I strongly urge other parents to think twice before trusting this location with their young children.
