My four-year-old son left his appointment with multiple cuts on his head. Kylie—the stylist responsible—only pointed out one small cut, and we later found a large, obvious, painful-looking cut that she didn’t bother to mention. For any parent, this is alarming. Haircuts should be safe. Kids should not leave bleeding. Instead of showing concern, Kylie immediately tried to blame the cuts on my son having “sensitive skin.” My child has been getting haircuts since he was one year old and has never been injured like this. Her excuse was careless and dismissive. And beyond the cuts—which is the most serious issue—she also butchered his haircut. We asked for a fade with finger-length on top. What he got was almost a shaved head, uneven, choppy, and nothing close to what we requested. His skin was cut, and his hair was butchered. When my wife returned to ask for a refund, Kylie didn’t apologize, didn’t take responsibility, and didn’t show an ounce of genuine concern. Instead, she became defensive, insisted she had apologized when she hadn’t, and even tried to justify cutting a child by saying he “didn’t seem hurt.” The lack of empathy for a four-year-old was shameful. To make matters worse, she flat-out refused any accountability and refused the refund entirely. I also called Great Clips’ corporate line after this incident—and I still have not heard back. The silence is concerning. Accidents happen, but what happened here was beyond an accident. It was careless, dismissive, and handled with complete indifference. Parents deserve to know when a stylist shows this little regard for a child’s safety and comfort. We will not be returning, and I strongly urge other parents to think twice before trusting this location with their young children.

I called and asked for a partial refund but nothing was done about it. Went there today for another rushed haircut and the stylist said nothing she could do about the overcharge. She didn’t even thank me for my business or acknowledge the tip I gave her. I have been going there the last two summers but won’t be going back.
