  I want to start this review off by saying the front desk staff and stylist were very nice. My review is for those who have textured hair. Please ensure your stylist has experience with your hair type. I went in for a simple straighten and trim. I have naturally curly hair (3B/C) for reference. I washed and blow dried my hair before the appointment and left almost exactly how I came in. I asked the stylist to flat iron again when she was finished because my roots were still wavy and the rest still had that blow-dry look. She went over it again but the flat iron wasn’t high enough and I feel she may have been uncomfortable getting close to my scalp. I paid $50+ to leave looking almost identical to how I arrived and with an uneven cut. I had to contact another salon and paid less to get the results I was looking for. Photos: The first two photos were 2 days after my JCPenney salon appointment (I left it alone in prep for the appointment at the other salon) and after wearing a bun for work (military). As you can see, my hair was dry with split ends highly visible and the trim I received was uneven. Again, my stylist was very nice and we talked the entire appointment, but I didn’t leave as a satisfied customer. I’m not one to fuss about a service, but the amount I paid for the “finished” look made me feel defeated. Ethnic hair requires a lot of technique and experience.

  Crystal did an amazing job! She completely understood what I wanted, and even after raising concerns about how my hair volume (or lack thereof) would affect the style I wanted, she still absolutely crushed it. Now I know who to go to for future appointments!

  Booked an appointment online, which was fast and easy. I went in for a haircut and came out so satisfied with my hair! Thanks to Kylee! She was very understanding on what I wanted and took the time to make sure I liked the way it was turning out as she was cutting. Definitely recommend her!
