When I arrived for my haircut, I had just come in from the rain, a very young stylist who appeared inexperienced and unsure of herself was the one available to cut my hair. From the beginning, there were red flags. She immediately began using a finetooth comb on my damp, tangled hair instead of starting with a brush, which would have been the appropriate choice. I showed her several photos of the style I wanted, but throughout the entire appointment, she never once asked me to adjust my head position or look down. Most concerning of all, she cut my hair without properly sectioning or combing through it between cuts to check for evenness. I actually had to stop her twice myself to point out sections that were noticeably longer than others. It probably took her about five minutes total to cut my hair, which says a lot. When she finally finished, I was genuinely shocked by the result. My hair was significantly shorter than I'd requested and incredibly uneven and choppy. She had to have noticed how upset I was. I seriously considered refusing to pay and speaking with a manager, but I didn't want to embarrass her or hurt her feelings. Instead, I paid for the service, even left a tip, and then sat in my car and cried. I regret not going back inside to address it. This was truly one of the worst salon experiences I've ever had. I am deeply disappointed and will absolutely never return to this Great Clips location.
