- MHMelissa HeinzMar 28, 20263.0My boys got their hair cut today and the cut looks great on both of them. However, the stylist’s approach was less than ideal. My 4-year-old is certainly not an overly accommodating child. He’s your stereotypical rambunctious boy. However, after a little coercion, he has always sat and allowed the stylist to do their job with minimal objections and we’ve never had an issue with a stylist the few times we’ve been to one. Despite that, this stylist repeatedly insisted that she wasn’t going to be able to finish his hair because he wouldn’t sit still enough. Mind you, I was sitting there thinking that he was actually doing fairly well considering he’s only four. The stylist later said she was doing the good cop/bad cop (her being the bad cop) approach with him. I’m sure some families would appreciate said approach but it’s just not something that I would subject myself and my kids to again. I tipped well because as I said, the cuts looked great and my kids weren’t traumatized. However, I won’t be going back simply because I can get similar results at other locations without being stressed out in the process. If you have a child with your typical boy energy, I’d opt for a location that has more patience or ask if there is a stylist there with more experience cutting a child’s hair. I shudder to think what the experience would have been like if I had an autistic child that was fearful of haircuts.

I tell them what I want & if it needs a lil more change to it they don't mind at all. I love getting my hair washed the shampoo & stuff is great for my hair n smells good too! I would highly recommend that you go to a Great Clips store!!

- MEMari R. EstradaMar 1, 20261.0I wanted to treat my husband for a haircut for our Wedding Anniversary and it's the First and LAST time I send my husband to get a cut here. He came out with a big patch in the back. His ears face all full of hair, she did not blow or brush him down. We specifically said V shaped sideburn and she left them straight. We even showed a picture 3 times and they still didn't get it right. No matter how many times my husband expressed the sideburns issue she never fixed it. She tried to pressure my husband into a different haircut. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!! What was supposed to be a good day for us turned into disappointment.. now we have to take pictures with this messed up haircut. We are furious.

Great Clips salons use Clip Notes®, which keeps track of any previous haircut you received at a Great Clips salon, so any stylist can give you a great haircut. If you would like to request a particular stylist, be sure to say that when you arrive at the salon and finish your check-in. Note that requesting a stylist may increase your estimated wait time.
If I checked in online, do I need to do anything when I arrive at the salon?
Once you arrive, check in at the receptionist desk to let the stylists know you're there. They will finish checking you in at that time.
