Review of Salon Eden
I recently had an experience at Salon Eden that was very disappointing, especially given the significant amount I spent — over \$500. Unfortunately, the outcome was not what I expected, and I did not leave feeling happy with my hair color.
When I expressed my concerns about the color, the owner (Joe) initially refused to offer any kind of adjustment or comp, such as applying another toner. Only after I pushed back did she reluctantly agree to fix it, and it felt as if she was doing me a favor rather than addressing a legitimate customer concern. Despite showing her several reference photos and clearly explaining that I prefer chunkier highlights and varied colors, she proceeded with her usual approach, applying a toner to make the color more uniform. This was exactly what I did *not* want, and it was clear she prioritized her own agenda over my preferences.
Throughout the process, I did not feel heard or valued as a customer. The lack of professionalism and empathy was evident, and even after the second appointment, my concerns were not adequately addressed. Considering the salon requires a 20% tip for services over \$200 — which I paid on top of the already steep price — I expected to feel amazing about my hair, not dissatisfied.
I believe in fairness and good faith, so I requested at least a partial refund due to the unsatisfactory service. The owner was unprofessional and unapologetic throughout, which only added to my frustration. Given the quality of service and the way my concerns were handled, I now understand why this business is struggling.
This experience has left me seriously considering further action to seek resolution. I hope the salon reflects on this feedback and improves their customer service and professionalism going forward.
