- KJKendra JohnstonDec 20, 20232.0Took my family there, we got sat with an older gentleman. My two year old son started a little unsettled and was fighting a bit. Right off the bat, the gentleman had zero patience for my son. He immediately started snapping at my son and was grabbing my son’s face aggressively to stay still. I had to hold my son on my lap to comfort him, and the man was grabbing my two year old’s face so hard, he held his mouth and had his lip folded and was held down. He kept huffing and puffing and was getting mad at my son. I tried my best to comfort my boy and get him to calm down throughout this because I felt the hostility from this man. Another barber, Ashley, offered multiple times to take over but he kept forcing my son still and kept cutting. My son was hysterical at this point and I felt all eyes on us. I tried to calm him, we offered suckers and the man just wanted him done and out of the chair even though we had just started. The man just walked off and that’s when Ashley invited us to her chair. My son calmed down and she did an amazing job fixing his hair. She calmed me down as a mom and as a customer. If it wasn’t for Ashley and another barber there (her chair is up front) we would never come back as customers. My son shouldn’t have been forcibly grabbed at the face the way he was and snapped at. I understand he was scared but he’s also only 2. The gentleman should have backed off when Ashley offered to take over instead of making it worse for everyone. Thank you again Ashley for your kindness to my family.
