- MGMadison GuyApr 3, 20263.0I have mixed feelings about our experience here at Great Clips. My son who is almost two has been there in the past for just scissor trims around his ears and his bangs. We have since been commuting to Hickory for his hair cuts, but unfortunately we had a death in the family and I needed to get him trimmed up asap so he could look put together at the funeral, so I just decided to go to Great Clips and have them do what they have always done ( which is trimming around the ears and bangs). Please note my son had never had clippers on his head yet, the salon we normally take him to would literally hand scissor his entire head. I show the stylist the areas I want trimmed and he asked about clippers. I told him if he is comfortable doing clippers he could( thinking he was gonna do a mullet vibe). Next thing I know he took the clipper right up the back of my son’s head, of course my son hated it. By this time it’s too late to even correct him because he already committed. My son’s hair cut didn’t turn out good. Yes, it’s because he was wasn’t staying still and freaking out, I understand that. I just can’t help but to think this wouldn’t have happened if the stylist listened to me. The stylist was super nice, I just wish he done what I asked for.I knew my son wouldn’t do good that’s why I asked for what I did. I even had to fix some areas myself. I’m just really regretting my decision going there Wednesday.

No. For the stylist’s safety, we do not publish their schedules or allow customers to request them using Online Check-In. Great Clips salons use Clip Notes®, which keeps track of any previous haircut you received at a Great Clips salon, so any stylist can give you a great haircut. If you would like to request a particular stylist, be sure to say that when you arrive at the salon and finish your check-in. Note that requesting a stylist may increase your estimated wait time.
If I checked in online, do I need to do anything when I arrive at the salon?
Once you arrive, check in at the receptionist desk to let the stylists know you're there. They will finish checking you in at that time.
