  I went in there to get a haircut the only words the hairdresser said to me is “what do you want done”. I told her I wanted 5 inches cut off and layered. Well the whole time she was cutting my hair she was talking to her coworkers. The women must not know how to measure because I think she got like 8 inches off. I wanted long layers but she chopped my hair up. I believe she was the manager. She had long hair and shaved on the sides. I should’ve walked out when I saw her hair. Never will go there again.

  I have a certain lady that cuts my hair and my son's hair, she always does a great job, and everyone is always friendly to us, the people at great clips I have encountered are top notch, I can't speak for everyone but I have had good experiences.

  For $15, my stylist just played in my hair and made a mess. I gave her a clear reference photo that matched my hair texture and length, and she missed nearly every detail. She acknowledged that it was supposed to be "shaggy in the back" and then proceeded to cut my hair so short, it couldn't even be styled that way. There were supposed to be side pieces that were instead cut off. Most of the hair I was supposed to have in the final product got cut off. Everything was supposed to be at least an inch longer, I asked for "just a trim" and the reference showed only a few centimeters shorter than what I already had. The only part of the haircut she did somewhat correctly was that there were supposed to be layers at the top, but they're too short, choppy, and uneven. She also thinned my hair... I did not ask for that, I did not want that, nor did the reference photo show thin hair. My hair was moderately thick when I sat down, and I stood up with just chicken feathers remaining on my head. My bangs are so thin now, I look victorian. If you can't tell, I'm distraught. I was so ecstatic to finally get my hair done after months of putting it off. I was planning to dye my hair for the first time and it was going to look so good, and now I can't because I have to conceal this catastrophe under a beanie in eighty degree weather. My self esteem is absolutely smothered. I left the salon weeping for thirty minutes because I look like a fugly strawberry. I will give her tens where they're due, the lady was really sweet and charismatic. Unforunately though, she did murder my confidence and dream-appearance for the rest of the spring season. I also understand that it's possible I just didn't explain what I wanted well enough, as I really struggle to communicate with people due to being neurodivergent. However, that's why I bought the reference photo, and again, it was perfectly achievable with what I already had; my hair was long and thick enough and the correct texture to pull off what I was asking for. For a *licensed professional hairstylist*, I'd expect the haircut I ended up with to at least somewhat resemble what I asked for. The fact that it looks nothing like the reference photo makes me believe she didn't try at all and just treated my hair like a child with a Barbie doll, kiddie scissors, and a vision. I'm really sorry in advance for how harsh this review comes across. I don't want to degrade this lady as a person, she seems really delightful, she just didn't do a good job with my hair. I'm disappointed, infuriated, and self-conscious. No one should walk out of a salon feeling so poorly about themselves
