She started scratching my kids head like adults and he ended up with trimmer scratches and redness on forehead and back neck. I dont think they should be qualified to do kids hair cuts here. Never coming back to this location. Im a regular in Brookdale past 4 yrs but since its closed, we ended up here.

None of the stylists at that location are working at this franchise that is only a few miles away. I'll have to wait to see how my hair grows out over the next four weeks to know for sure if they did a good job or not. The location is clean and updated. They had a relatively short wait time on the online check in, and they were busy, so hopefully that's a good indication that they do good work.

The stylist (second from the last on the left) gave him a poor-quality haircut, but what bothered me most was how my child was treated. When he giggled nervously while she used the clippers, she didn’t offer reassurance or even acknowledge him. Her attitude felt cold and dismissive, which is hard for any child, let alone a toddler who’s trying his best to sit still. What really hurt was the moment after the haircut. Kids at this location are usually offered a small toy — it’s something my son looks forward to every time. She handed one to the previous customer’s child but didn’t offer anything to my toddler. He stood there confused and disappointed until he finally worked up the courage to ask her himself. No child should have to do that. As a parent, it’s upsetting to see your child go from excited to discouraged because of how they were treated. This experience was far below the standard we’ve always trusted at this location, and I felt it was important to share.

If you would like to request a particular stylist, be sure to say that when you arrive at the salon and finish your check-in. Note that requesting a stylist may increase your estimated wait time.
If I checked in online, do I need to do anything when I arrive at the salon?
Once you arrive, check in at the receptionist desk to let the stylists know you're there. They will finish checking you in at that time.
