I was in Greensboro and decided to get my hair done here. This review may be kind of long so hang on.
As I entered the store, there was an immediate greeting from more than one person. Phenomenal! I felt welcomed because High Point locations may greet you and it's by one individual. I signed in and waited my turn. Before being selected next, I saw the employees cleaning up the floor as in sweeping up hair. There was no customer for 15 minutes. It took the person a long time to call me and there was still hair on the floor. This shocked me! This sweeping process and hair still being on the floor remained the whole time that I was there. Either you clean up fully or not at all! Now to my stylist and her review:
I was taken to the shampoo bowl. I was not greeted initially when being escorted from the lobby. I did use the restroom prior and when I came back waiting for the stylist to come back, she did a proper greeting with her name. Kudos on that aspect. Usually, I have to ask for a name at other locations. Continuing on, this person was patient with me as I was experiencing vertigo (dizziness) laying back to the shampoo bowl. It is at the shampoo bowl and beyond where things went totally left for me. During the initial wetting of the hair at the shampoo bowl, she told me to tell her about the water temperature. I said it was hot! She turned the hose, knob etc. which got hotter! I told her and she asks me am I sure. Terrible! What? She does it a third time and I almost jumped out of the chair because the water was at it's hottest. The hot water felt like it had burned my scalp. If she did this intentionally, this is between her and Jesus. How do you not know that the water is hot? Certainly the hose or the vapors would tell one that. She finally went in the other direction and kept it on cool or cold throughout. The fact that this person even asked the customer if they were sure is not professional! She washed my hair twice but could not remember the count. At the bowl and throughout the rest of the night she kept talking about how I should cut my hair to keep it healthy. At her station (I am fast forwarding a little bit) she asked me how many times do I wash my hair at home. I said probably three. She asked me why. After I told her my explanation of washing it until it felt clean, I asked why she asked me this. She continued to make statements about people are going to do what they want to do. I guess she was referencing the cut. I definitely would not trust her with no scissors on my head. Next, at her station, she was getting some of the water out of my head but had the blow dryer on cool instead of hot. How do you not know again about the temperature of something. I was becoming impatient. The attachment on the blow dryer was hitting my neck which is already injured. I just wanted to leave at this point. She combed or brushed my hair hard. The simple flat iron request took nearly 3 hours to complete. Why? She did some in small sections and the rest she grabbed large amounts to flat iron. Be consistent! She messed up the part etc. The hair was pretty and bouncy at the end. It was almost closing time before I left. Also, in the chair she was talking about weight and she imagines how fat people must feel. I am not skinny. I have lost over 85lbs. Still could lose 15lbs though. However, these comments are a trigger for me. This person is skinny. Like I get the small talk, but some things should be off limits. My time was wasted. Great clips is known for their quick service. I will not list her name in case you get paired with her. At the end when I was paying she could not even remember what I got done. I will not be back. This person should go back to cosmetology school if they can't get the simple things like water temperature or blow dryer temperature correct. I did get wet at the bowl. A cape instead of a towel is needed. Thank you for letting me share my honest feedback. Lastly, the gentleman in the store is very personable!

I love this place, I used to not trust people in cutting my hair, because of the cow licks I have lol. Joey is the man to see, the store has a great aura, and wonderful techs helping him.
