We had such a wonderful experience yesterday with Yadira! Stopped by without an appointment and they were able to squeeze my daughter in right away. My daughter is on the autism spectrum and can sometimes say unexpected things, but Yadira handled everything with so much patience, kindness, and understanding. She made my daughter feel comfortable and valued the entire time. We are so grateful and will definitely be back!

Words cannot begin to describe how horrific this experience was. When I booked the appointment, I specifically asked for someone who was experienced, and my appointment got booked with Alan. When I combed through the reviews I didn’t see any reviews about him. My gut instinct told me that was a bad sign, but for some reason I ignored it and kept my appointment. I brought pictures of what I wanted and asked for curtain bangs. What I got was the most horrific haircut of my life. My hair is naturally wavy. He dry cut my hair (which was slightly damp because I had washed it that morning) and cut a one inch long chunk of hair on each side of my forehead and called it curtain bangs. No slope, just two chunks of hair hanging off to the side of my forehead. When he began to style it ( I specifically told him him I blow my hair out straight) he uses a 1 to 1-1/2 inch roller brush, no styling product whatsoever, on hair that is already dry. As I’m watching him I can see he can’t even hold the brush and is using a hair dryer that has barely any power. My cut looks like I stepped out of the 80’s, nothing like the pictures I showed him. I stopped him midway through styling it because my hair wasn’t going to straighten using a round brush on dry hair with no product with a hair dryer that has seen better days. Alan could see I was pissed and didn’t charge me for the haircut. I went home hoping I could do something with this mess but I couldn’t style it because the cut is a joke. I called the salon and ask to speak to the manager, but she (Laurie) refuses to speak to me. Then the receptionist tells me she’s confused because my appointment says I went in for a consultation which was absolutely not true, my hair got cut. So someone went into the computer, changed my appointment and as a result there will be no accountability. I haven’t cried over a haircut since I was a teenager. What I want to know is how this happened. Alan said he’s been cutting hair for twenty years but let me tell you, if I had cut my hair myself or gone to a beauty school and had a student cut it there is no way it would have turned out this bad. I wouldn’t take my dog into this place for a haircut after this experience.

The last time I went, I saw Arianna (hopefully I spelled their name right) to cut my hair as they were personally recommended to me. They made me feel so comfortable and welcomed. They also made me feel so seen and heard as a non binary person. I’ll be going back for their services every time. It’s a bummer that they get misgendered so often though, like even the person who answered the phone when I made the appointment used the wrong pronouns. (Arianna is an elite stylist, as I think the term goes, so the cost is more than the others)
