Unfortunately, I paid with 3 gift cards, and as a (different) cashier swiped each one, she set it down behind the counter. Apparently, she assumed the last $13 and some change of my purchase must be the exact amount that had been on that card? I had to ask for it back. She said the balance isn't on the receipt, so I checked the balance on the sephora website. I definitely still had a balance on the card. And BTW, upon looking closer, the gift card balance is, in fact, printed on the receipt. She told me she needs the gift cards in the deposit bag? Seems a little scammy to me. Like how many gift cards with balances are just kept by the employees? I gave her the benefit of the doubt that she maybe didn't know when I spoke to the other employee and said I was giving feedback for training purposes.
