I needed to reapply my gloss so I stepped aside and used the first mirror I see in the store. One of the employees, an older lady, came up and told me I can not use the mirror because it’s for private appointments only. I could tell she was not happy I was doing that. Which I understand but she repeated it many times even though I stepped away immediately and apologized. My friend was standing next to me and also felt that was an uncalled for reaction. I finish applying my gloss and proceeded to put it in my bag. She is looking at me suspiciously and I could tell she thought I was stealing. She is upset and asks me “is that yours?”. I am now angry and said “yes”. Me and my friend walk away and try to pretend that did not just happened. She follows us and doesn’t say anything. Eventually she got off our back and stepped off the floor. This was no doubt the worst experience I had ever received at Sephora. I was just at another store a week ago AND spent $200+ online for their sale. The gloss I was using is also just bought from Sephora a week ago. I could not believe it. Never coming back. It was the truly the most disrespectful and traumatic experience. Wish I got the name the employee because that is not how you should treat anyone who comes to the store.

Even though the MOA store is closer to me, I actually like this Southdale location better because it’s usually not busy, which is great if you need help finding products. They also have a bigger selection of perfumes and colognes, and they tend to have more items in stock, so I can almost always find what I need here.
