Brought my toddler boy who wanted to get his first cut with her for fun. To keep it short, he cried too much because he couldn’t sit next to her, so we decided to not get his haircut. Only asked once if he could sit next to her, and received a blunt “we don’t switch stations”, so I never pushed it further. It wasn’t a big deal to us, but the stylists who worked with us continued to make us feel awkward that our kid didn’t tolerate a haircut (eg, “two parents standing over him makes it worse”, or to our niece: “you can get two succors because you actually got a haircut!”). Felt uncomfortable, so we left to wait outside for my niece (who had a great experience with an older blond stylist). The two stylists we were with (younger woman light brunette, middle aged woman dark red hair) proceeded to talk badly about us to my brother in law after we left. Wouldn’t have felt the need to write a review about poor customer service bc everyone has bad days, but bad mouthing about us to other family is uncalled for and inappropriate.
