No one approached me to confirm my check-in or ask if I was on the list, even though I could clearly see my name on the board. After watching another customer walk in without checking in and get taken back before me, I finally stood at the counter just so someone would acknowledge my presence. Everyone working there completely ignored me, and most weren’t even cutting hair. Eventually, one employee finally came over and asked if I was ready. While I was getting my haircut, another staff member openly talked negatively about a customer who had just left. It felt unprofessional and showed a lack of respect for the people they serve. As for my haircut—it was the worst I’ve ever had. I’ve gone to Great Clips many times in the past, and while it’s usually just a convenience stop, this experience will be my last. My haircut was uneven, not blended or textured, and there were visible divots all over. One section was noticeably longer than the rest, like it had been completely missed. There was zero attention to detail. The whole cut took maybe three minutes, and it looked like it. I’m not a confrontational person, so I didn’t say anything at the time, but I honestly should have walked out without paying. I don’t know how a professional can feel good sending someone out the door with a haircut that bad. It’s disappointing—you’d hope people in this line of work would take pride in what they do. Unfortunately, this location felt more like the fast-food version of a haircut shop.
