  I've been getting my lashes tinted by the same person for years and due to scheduling issues I had to find someone new, so I came to Summerset. I was booked with April and she was amazing!! Very down to earth, made sure I was comfortable, made sure I was happy with my service before I left, and made me laugh! I don't get much time to myself to do self-care, so I appreciate that she made the time I had enjoyable. I will definitely be back to see her

  As a new customer At Somerset Salon and Day Spa, make sure you ask questions and get complete and total policies explained in detail. The one about rescheduling in particular. If you reschedule, you are charged 50% and then 100% again when the appointment happens. I was not told of this because when i scheduled i had a trainee. When i tried to reschedule, manager (27yrs) Stayshu, was rude, and basically told me I was a liar. That i had been told the policies. I then went to the spa to speak to the manager. Which was her. I did not know she was the one that was had suggest poor customer service. So please make summer you ask and understand the policies.

  Highly recommend Somerset salon and day spa for all services. I had an awesome facial done by April (10-10). Once arrived I enjoyed an alcoholic beverage. Upon entering the spa room where the facial was given I couldn’t help but notice the serenity and calmness of the room. The products she used felt of good quality gliding across my skin. Left my skin feeling cleansed with a natural glow. She also went above and beyond when I asked her to extract a blackhead I had stuck in my chest for over a year. Book with April she’s great. Highly recommend 10 out of 10

  I want this review to start off with: 4 pedicures, and one manicure. 4 drinks. $500.00. (With Tip) Five. Hundred. Dollars. This salon was perhaps the most average experience I’ve ever had in my entire life. The pedicures? 75.00 a pop for a mediocre, run of the mill pedicure. Nothing special, no massage, no special designs in the toes. None of us were offered water or anything to drink so we had to ask for one. The chairs are under rent, so when you’re finished you’re given a ticket to go to the front to pay so the entire experience from start to finish is a detached, impersonal experience. One of the techs was not interested in talking at all. Did not engage with or converse with one of our party members. The room where we did the pedicures at was cramped. 8-10 chairs in a space the size of a living room making it very obvious that money is the goal instead of quality customer service. If I’m paying 75.00 for a basic gel pedicure, I would think maybe a beverage is included. Some kind of wow factor. There was none. The polish didn’t extend to the edges of my toe, so as it grows out it will become an eyesore. The manicure? Misshapen, chipped hours later, and came off in under a week. Unfortunately, due to time constraints, we didn’t have the time to stay and have them corrected after nearly a 3 hour experience nor did I feel comfortable explaining that I didn’t like the shape. Lastly, we were asked to pay separately for entire package. As they are charged a chair fee for each appointment they take, one technician asked us to pay them directly in cash or other third party means so they wouldn’t get charged the chair fee which was uncomfortable in the moment. In conclusion, I felt like I was an inconvenience by being a patron there. My party did not feel welcomed, or like our patronage was appreciated. No smiling faces greeting us, no smiling faces upon exit. Confusion and irritation when asking for accommodation. For the price point, the service, and the experience I would not go back for anything nail related.
