  I have had the hardest time trying to schedule an appointment at this location. Every time I call I never get an answer on the phone. Don't pay attention to the operating hours listed on Google or the JCP website. When I stepped inside of the salon, it was closed during time frames where they said it was supposed to be open. If a stylist doesn't have an appointment during the time frame that you stop by, the salon is closed because there is no receptionist there at the front desk. It's very disheartening to have to go through all of this just to schedule a hair appointment. Needless to say, I'll be taking my business to a salon that actually has somebody that can answer the phones and properly schedule the appointments for customers. Also, The online appointment option doesn't list all of the stylist that work there.

  Our visit was not even worth a 1 star. We called JCPENNEY salon for my daughter to get her whole head/hair platinum blonde, her senior pictures were in one week and she was was getting her hair done for the pics - they even told us that it would take about 3 hours to do. We didn’t mind because she really wanted it done. We got to the salon, the lady at the desk confirmed what we were scheduled there and reminded us that it would take about 3 hours. The lady, I believe her name was KIM/Kimberly, took her back and didn’t even know what she was there for, and when she found out, she said that she couldn’t do it. When we explained all of it to the front desk, Kim told us that with all the customers, they probably couldn’t hear us on the phone when we made the appointment. It seems that if there was a lot of people there, you would pay extra attention to the person on the phone to make sure you got it right... I am very unhappy with the salon inside JCPenney’s. We used to get our hair done there, but I will not go back there anymore. Very unprofessional - and Kim was very rude to us. Very unprofessional. I would not recommend them at all to anyone unless you just want a plain haircut, at least not with KIM.

  Came in for a color/cut -- something I never spend money on. I wanted a change in color. I usually do this on my own, but I decided to get giftcards for my birthday to "splurge" on myself. Anyway, I came out of the salon with nearly the same look...all the way down to the inch of darker roots that were completely noticable, even by the receptionist. (Not a single person noticed the color "change".) I was told that night to come in on Saturday. Since I work full-time with three YOUNG children, I arranged for a babysitter. When I drove out there, the stylist said I should have made an appointment, so there was not time to take care of the issue. It was 3 pm, she leaves at 6. The problem is, two of the three days she is available are during the work week, and there is only a six hour window of time on Saturday. I don't know what to do..my schedule does not allow me to come back until two weeks from now. I might go somewhere else to get the color redone but that feels like a huge waste of 80 bucks, not something I have lying around to do this again. My other way is trying to fix it with a box color. That is what I usually do anyway, but I was hoping for more at a salon. The only positive experience walking away from this is that the stylist was nice, but did not call me in Friday like she said she was going to try to do. Also, every person I met at the front was also welcoming and professional. IF I do go back in two weeks, that will be my final visit. I am leaving here after finding a baysitter and driving 20 minutes super disappointed.
