  I absolutely cannot begin to recommend Betzaida (I really hope I spelled her name right) for her incredible skills in the makeup studio. She took my vision for the Lady Gaga concert, ran with it and went above and beyond. I felt absolutely sickening and had such an amazing time. If you’re looking to get your makeup done for any special occasion, go see our girl Betzaida at Pike & Rose!

  This is the nicest Sephora you can go to in the DMV area. Huge selection, experienced and professional staff, a little busy at times but never slammed.

  I am writing this review regarding my experience yesterday, February 21, 2026. What should have been a fun day with my best friend turned into a very disappointing experience for both of us. Because I do not have a standalone Sephora near me, I was excited to finally have the full in-store experience. I needed help finding a new foundation match and wanted to try several shades. When I asked an employee where the makeup sponges were, since they were not in plain sight, I was simply told, “They’re over there,” instead of being shown where they were. While I was looking at foundation shades, another employee crouched down directly in front of me to put a product away. I was actively looking at the items she was placing back, and there was no space for me to move behind me due to a display case. This forced me to move to a completely different area of the store until she was finished, which felt rude and uncomfortable. Later, my friend and I noticed some customers participating in a game near the front door and decided we would like to join. When I asked if we could play, I was met with an attitude, followed by a reluctant “okay.” My friend was given a prize of Amika shampoo and conditioner, which felt extremely insensitive and tone-deaf, as she is visibly bald due to a scalp condition. The sales associate then walked away while I was still standing there. I had to ask her to come back because I had not yet had a turn and also wanted to participate. Another sales associate, named Zariyah or Zaria (I apologize if I misspelled her name), was very kind, deeply apologetic, and made the situation right by providing different samples for my friend. She was the only positive part of this experience. What began as an exciting and fun day ended in tears, confusion, and disappointment. We felt we were treated very poorly in a store that was displaying signage celebrating Black History Month and Black-owned brands. We left feeling discriminated against, and that is completely unacceptable in 2026.

  Michaela was amazinggggg. A genuine kind soul who gave perfect recommendations. I spend an obscene amount of time in Sephora and have been to quite a few all over the country and have never had a more pleasant experience with someone helping me. 🖤 keep her at all costs
