  I recently visited the Sephora at Pike and Rose, I was greeted by so many smiles from women of color! My husband and I were Christmas shopping for our daughter, and Ava was incredibly kind, patient, and helpful. I did not know exactly what my daughter wanted, but Ava went above and beyond to assist us. Especially for someone her age, she was very knowledgeable and helped us pick out Sol de Janeiro products, lip liners, and a Kayali perfume. She was sweet, attentive, and genuinely made the experience pleasant. Unfortunately, the experience completely shifted when I reached the register and was checked out by a girl named Violet. She did not greet me at all and had a very rude, passive aggressive attitude throughout the transaction. In the middle of checking out, I realized she never asked for my phone number for Beauty Insider points. If I had not spoken up myself, I would not have received any points. When I politely asked if I could put my phone number in, she responded with a snarky remark along the lines of, “Oh, I did not know you wanted to put your phone number in,” again with a very passive aggressive tone. To make matters worse, she did not provide me with a receipt and claimed that the receipt system was broken. However, she had just given receipts to the customer before me and the customer after me, which made the excuse feel dishonest. As an older woman, you would think there would be a basic level of respect for elders of this generation, but it seems that some people are simply very rude. She is truly the worst beauty advisor I have encountered at this location. Every other visit to this Sephora, I am met with smiles, professionalism, and great attitudes from the staff. This experience was extremely disappointing, and I was honestly disgusted by her behavior. Ava deserves recognition because she did an amazing job, but Violet’s attitude significantly detracted from what should have been a positive shopping experience.

  I visited this Sephora 3 months ago and did not have a good experience. I vowed that I wouldn’t come back but today I had to pick up something and decided to come back because of close proximity. I can tell this establishment is under new management! I had a great experience with Therese. She was nice and welcoming and I ended up leaving with a basket full of things instead of the one lip liner I initially came to buy. Sarjo rung me up and was so kind to me. Keep up the good work Sephora pike and rose! P.S whoever hired these ladies did a wonderful job!
