The salon is gorgeous and my hair came out better than I imagined. As a curly girl, it has always been a struggle to walk into a salon and feel uneasy, not knowing if I will leave the salon feeling better than I came. The shape and feel of my hair is the best it’s ever been. The Salon decor is intentional, chic and fitting to the name. Very pro black, it was gorgeous, inviting, & very clean. They had snacks and beverages and a thoughtful aromatherapy selection during the wash process.
I look forward to coming back and recommending to others. If you are looking for a curly cut, this is definitely your spot!

Leah is amazing! Best hair experience I have ever had. I do not live in the area and now I literally plan my travel around going to Leah. I have had a lot of hairdressers and stylists get tired while doing my hair, or get frustrated. Not only is Leah thorough, but also fast and my hair has been FLOURISHING. Leah handles my hair with care and ease. I love love love my twists every single time. I am soooo grateful!!

I'd like to start this off by saying I was received with welcoming arms and the customer service was outstanding. My stylist was kind and personable and I enjoyed speaking with them. The environment was clean and parking was not too hard to find.
Unfortunately, my curly cut did not live up to my expectations. Traditionally, I've always had my hair blow dried before any trim or cut, but thought I'd give a curly cut a try. Especially because 90% of the time I've worn it curly. Here are a few observations I made while receiving my cut:
- My hair was not detangled, not even a little bit
- My hair was not washed to the best of its ability
- I could still feel the split ends that needed to be trimmed
But my last point is the biggest downfall. I rewashed my hair and blow dried it to assess the cut's accuracy. Both sides are not even, there is a lot of disconnect in the nape in comparison to the sides and top, hair located in the same section is not cut at the same length causing stringy ends and lastly, I have a mullet now.
As a stylist, if a client books a service that can not be achieved, you have the power to modify the style as needed for the texture and integrity of the hair. As well as communicating the expectations after the modifications.
Curls and a wash and go can camouflage a lot, which is why I assessed the cut at home. I'm certain this will not grow out evenly or at the same rate.
Even with this critique, I genuinely wish this salon continued success and they receive the clientele suited for them. It just was not me.

The new salon space is well put together and is being kept very clean, which i definitely appreciate. This salon provides aromatherapy during the hair washing service and snacks are also available. I also love the products that are used in this salon. The stylist that I liked and went back to a couple times for my haircut to be fixed and then a trim unfortunately moved on to start a new career elsewhere.
I have not been that satisfied with my trims from the other hairstylists since both of those trims resulted in more hair being cut off than necessary and not balanced. However, I recognize that I could have contributed to this since my hair was not in its most coily state when I came in for these appointments. So unfortunately, the second trim also resulted in the shape of my hair being completely transformed to a more boxy shape that is taking some mental adjustments.
All this to say: let me be a testimony to definitely come to your haircut appointment with your hair recently styled and in its most coily state. Especially for a trim!!!
