  Andrea is my stylist at the JCPenny Salon. Adrea is wonderful! She has a pleasant personality and is very timely in being available for scheduled appointments. She is skilled and professional in performing a variety of styles. I am always pleased with what she does with my request. I get so many compliments. Don't delay, but hurry schedule your next hair appointment with her.

  ***Update: I was contacted by Julie from the JC Penney Salon Forestville location. She apologized for the service I received and the comments made by the hairdresser. She assured me that it was not there policy to make such comments and invited my child back for a complementay hair service. Although I was apprehensive, I agreed and I'm glad I did! She was very kind and was gentle with my child. He had a good experience. I appreciate the time Julie took to make everything right. I would definitely give this service 5 stars. Thanks again JC Penney for making this right! Original review: 1/5 stars I love the convenience and accessibility of JC Penney Salon in Forestville,MD for cutting my kids hair (two kids under 10years old). I previously made appointments for my kids cut (wash and blow-dry) which usually turned out well. Shout-out to Andrea Johnson who always took her time and was always very kind to my daughter. However, my last experience was absolutely horrible. I made one appointment for my daughter which turned out well with Andrea. I decided to also do a walk-in kids cut service for my other child. Another stylist was available and agreed to the service (Ramona Wilcox). Everything went well until checkout. A kids cut service is $20 however Ramona was very adamant that the service listed was not for "black children". After going back and forth she agreed to honor the pricing that was listed online as a "one time only favor". My kids left asking me why we would have to pay more for having "black hair". I was extremely infuriated and disappointed especially since the price for a kids-cut service seems to be the same at multiple locations. Although all my previous appointments went well I would not want my kids to relive that experience by going back to that location. I encourage management to do training so that no one goes through such humiliation with their kids.

  Stylist SONYA BROWN - SHE continues to look forward to my patronizing JC PENNEY.,-HAIR SALON in WALDORF MD. She Greets me with a smile and is always concerned about my comfort. She listens tentatively and offers treatments to enhance growth.and to resolve issues. She thoroughly examines my hair bringing to the Forefront any services that she deems necessary that will help increase my hair journey. THiS I truly appreciate because by her pointing out to me what is obvious is that difference between her being professional and me a client. She stays up to date with her being current I am completely satisfied. I receive numerous amounts of praise from people from all walks of life. And her styles receive applause from younger and senior voices., voices ..requesting Sonya s contact info I strongly recommend this talented caring woman. Certainly her gifts are seldom experienced. Such a valuable asset
