- MMMichaelMar 23, 20261.0I have been going to Great Clips for over 10 years and generally had been satisfied with the service. But in the past year something has changed. The staff are not as friendly as they used to be and there are far fewer barbers than before, so wait times are much longer. Today I made an online appt, there were five people ahead of me. Then two women came in, talked to the staff and took them ahead of everyone else. So, my wait time got pushed back 20 minutes. No one came to explain why they took someone ahead of me. I wanted to talk to the staff but there were only 2 barbers, and there was no one to talk to, so I left. The customer service has really gone downhill. Instead, I went to the location in Essex, which is much better.

No personality, no conversation and always misinterprets how I'd like my haircut (and it's very simple). The price is great, but I'll be paying more to not have to potentially run into the same stylists again.

Great Clips salons use Clip Notes®, which keeps track of any previous haircut you received at a Great Clips salon, so any stylist can give you a great haircut. If you would like to request a particular stylist, be sure to say that when you arrive at the salon and finish your check-in. Note that requesting a stylist may increase your estimated wait time.
If I checked in online, do I need to do anything when I arrive at the salon?
Once you arrive, check in at the receptionist desk to let the stylists know you're there. They will finish checking you in at that time.
