Noticing they do not really help people of color customers out. Today I was in the store, employees did not greet and continued to walk past me. Was needing some assistance even said hello. Felt really uncomfortable in the atmosphere but I decided to leave after standing for 15 minutes wanting some assistance. It’s really sad this happened to me, but am I surprised ? No. Taking my money elsewhere, I want to feel welcomed and valued as a customer. I swear, not cool at all.

I had a mixed experience at this location today. On the positive side, the cashier and the rest of the staff were wonderful and very welcoming.
However, I had a very poor interaction with the representative at the Danesa Myricks section a lady with short, bleached hair. She was entirely unhelpful and made me feel like I was bothering her by asking for assistance. If you are looking for product advice or a pleasant shopping experience with that specific brand, I would recommend caution or seeking out a different staff member.

I recently had a poor experience with Lana, the Account Coordinator. She was extremely rude, unprofessional, and showed no willingness to help with my concern. Her attitude made the entire interaction frustrating, and I did not feel valued as a customer at any point. Lana needs serious coaching on communication and professionalism because there was no reason for the level of attitude she displayed.

I’ve always loved Sephora, but this experience was truly shocking and deeply upsetting. When my mom and I walked into the store, no one greeted us; all the associates were standing together talking and gossiping. I just wanted help getting a foundation match for my mom for a product she loves (the Ciele skin tint). When I approached an associate and asked if she could assist us, she corrected me with an attitude, saying, “Can you assist us, please.” I understand I should have said “please,” and I take accountability for that — I have social anxiety and was already timid — but I don’t believe that justified the rudeness.
When I explained we needed help, she rolled her eyes and asked, “What do you need assistance with?” in an even harsher tone. I was so shocked and confused. I wasn’t interrupting her doing work; she had been standing there chatting. I felt embarrassed and walked away, visibly upset. My mom noticed and went to ask for help herself, and the associate immediately gave her attitude as well. Things escalated when she raised her voice at my mom and claimed my mom had called her “stupid,” which is absolutely untrue. My mom said, “This is stupid,” referring to the situation — not the employee.
Another associate then approached us accusing us of “insulting” their staff and said they no longer felt comfortable helping us. She even spoke into her earpiece and instructed all associates not to assist us at all — including at checkout. I asked for the manager… and to my disbelief, the manager was the same woman who had been rude to me from the start. She refused to give me her name. Other associates also refused to tell me when I asked. One employee quietly told me her name was Taylor, a short white woman, but even she looked scared to say it out loud — which honestly says a lot.
This entire situation was humiliating and incredibly unprofessional. If the manager herself is treating customers this way, what example is she setting for her team? Customers deserve respect, kindness, and basic assistance — not attitude, eye-rolling, raised voices, and being banned from receiving help for no reason.
I hope Sephora takes this seriously. I went in simply wanting to buy my mom a skin tint she loves, and instead we experienced hostility, disrespect, and complete lack of professionalism. This level of customer service is unacceptable, especially from leadership. I truly hope this store reevaluates its management and hires people who actually care about their job and the customers they serve.
