  One for the books! My daughter has long, thick, tightly coiled hair, and unfortunately we have even had a stylist quit while trying to detangle her hair after a wash. Because of this, I was very specific about her hair texture when booking and asked for the stylist who had done a great job with her hair previously. She wasn’t available, so we were assigned a new stylist. The stylist was nice and very friendly and assured us that my daughter’s hair would be a breeze. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. During the blowout, the detangling step was skipped, and my seventeen-year-old ended up in tears from the pain and was ready to go home. At that point, another stylist, Tiffany, stepped in even though she was about to leave for the evening. She calmly assessed my daughter’s hair and immediately explained the proper approach: reconditioning, detangling while the conditioner was still in, sectioning the hair, rinsing while keeping the sections intact, and then blow-drying each section individually. Tiffany made us feel seen, comfortable, and understood. She was relatable, thorough, kind, and incredibly gentle—constantly checking in to make sure my daughter was okay with the amount of pressure she was using while detangling. I would absolutely give her service five stars. She went above and beyond, and thanks to her we left happy despite starting the appointment in tears and feeling frustrated and overwhelmed. Thank you so much, Tiffany!

  Phalese did an amazing job with my haircut. She's a master barber and specializes in doing dry cut. I was skeptical at first but now I'm a believer! I love my new do!

  Arguably one of the worst haircuts I’ve ever received. The woman who cut my hair seem to be in a hurry and didn’t pay attention to anything I said. I asked for a mid fade, which turned out to be a high fade. I had a reminder after she tried to put the mirror up behind my head that she forgot to put the hard part in. She made my sideburns uneven. She also left drags of hair that I had to trim myself when I got back home. Unfortunately, I didn’t catch most of this until after I got in the car and put my glasses back on. Lesson learned - Avoid the Hair Cuttery in Bethesda at all costs.
