- NMNicole MarottaFeb 1, 20261.0I called and asked for a deep tissue/trigger point massage on a Saturday - my first warning should’ve been that I was told I could come in anytime. For a weekend (and calling the morning of), there should’ve been limited openings, if any. When I arrived, it was clear this was a one woman operation and I was the only customer there. I was told they only accepted cash - this is not stated anywhere on the website and I even double checked afterwards. After having to leave and find an ATM, I came back about 15 mins later (mind you, she also texted me in the meantime asking if I was coming back, which is just unprofessional). I followed this same woman to a room. She asked me zero questions about what my concern areas were, what I was looking for, just proceeded to give me a very bizarre back massage through a thin bed sheet. I’ve had many massages and I’ve never had anyone do this. It was just strange and not relaxing. She did end up using baby oil eventually, but after 15 minutes were wasted with the ridiculous bed sheet. During the massage, I could hear dogs barking and hair dryers from the grooming business next door. She even answered the phone at one point. She massaged my feet, butt, but really never targeted my back or neck like I wanted. I did tip at the end because it was made clear she expected one, but I went home not feeling any relief and out $85. Lesson learned, you get what you pay for.
