  My fragrance-obsessed friend and I visited *several* boutiques on Newbury yesterday smelling dozens of perfumes (we might have a problem, LOL) and of all the places we visited, the incredible staff at Byredo were by far the friendliest, most interested in learning what scent profiles we each gravitated towards and then giving honest, excellent suggestions and feedback, and making us feel not only welcome, but valued as people and customers. The amazing male employee (I believe his name is Savvy (?) but I’m awful with names) was INCREDIBLY kind and sent us each home with samples even when I hadn’t requested one- he knew I loved Vanille Antique so much, he tucked it in my hand and made me feel like a million bucks. His female colleague, whose name I unfortunately didn’t get because I was too focused on sampling every amazing fragrance, was equally lovely. This is the kind of boutique you want to visit just to hang out with the amazing people, drool over the incredible perfumes, and spray until you burn your olfactory bulb out. I will be back. I will spend money I shouldn’t. And these wonderful brand representatives/knowledgeable sales staff should get raises. They’re THAT amazing.

  Just had the most positive experience with the store manager, Sinn. Stopped by because my perfume bottle was leaking and was wondering if the cap could be replaced. Although my purchase wasn’t from a Byredo boutique and couldn’t be returned, Sinn was extremely generous and thoughtful in helping us out! Every visit here is always met with the warmest, most welcoming, and attentive associates, and this experience was no different! Will be back next time I’m on Newbury :)

  I went today for the first time to purchase a fragrance and was met by one of the greatest salesperson I’ve met, Karlie. Asides Karlie being extremely helpful, attentive and knowledgeable about the product that they are selling Karlie also was very great at sharing relevant information such as personal experiences with certain products of the brand. Such an honest, transparent and genuine person who makes of the experience worth the price. Definitely deserves a raise and asides them being a great salesperson they were adorn by such a great character that brings so much value to this company.

  No shade but I kinda felt judged coming into the store and learning about the brand for the first time… like god forbid I don’t dress up just to go sniff perfume… I think I’ll just go to Saks next time. Also spoke to a kind person next to me (since we were smelling the same fragrance) and they told me they had been waiting 30 minutes for a scheduled job interview there… yikes. Take that as you will.
