  Update: Madison was Great and reached out right away offering to fix the hair and a refund. They were kind and fixed the issue. We turned down fixing the haircut and the refund was processed easily by stopping in. Greta customer service so we bumped the review up from one Star. I want to start by saying that my husband and I are not the kind of people to ask for refunds, but in this case we would like one. My husband needed his hair cut for our anniversary dinner. We have had wonderful experiences with this specific great clips location in the past, but today was not one of those times. He sat down for his haircut with Tayla. A shorter woman with bleach blonde hair. He gave her a reference picture and described the cut he wanted, and she started trimming the sides. She asked if it was good and he asked for some adjustments to be made to his hair’s part. She tried to adjust it and blend it in, but it turned out uneven with long hairs sticking out in odd places. Red flag number one, but that’s okay, you can come back from that. Next she started on the top. He has very coarse, wavy hair that likes to be unruly. We understand that it is difficult to cut. Then came red flag number two, she didn’t double check the length that he wanted off his hair. Normally a stylist would do it by holding the hair up and comparing to their comb, instead she just started dry trimming his hair with her scissors. Because of the nature of his hair, he has never had a dry trim done before. It is always wetted before it’s cut. The third red flag came when she was trimming up the edges and finishing the cut. She cut his sideburns crooked and uneven. One when he was sat straight up and one when she had his head tilted down… The final cherry on top was when she trimmed his neck. She didn’t ask whether he wanted it round or square, she just trimmed it round. (He prefers it square BTW…) I understand that the shape of his neck trim is not important, but what IS important is communicating with your clients to make sure that the job is done the way they prefer. After all, what are they paying you for? We were not pleased with our experience today, and we would like a refund. We don’t want Tayla to lose her job or anything crazy like that, but it might be good to get her some more training before this happens to another Great Clips customer coming under her blades.
