Hair cut / styling is an art. I go to a salon so the stylist can take care of it better than I can. The moment I signed up, the hair stylist asked me if it’s an 8 (apparently last time she used an 8 for me). I had no idea what that means. I told her I don’t know what those numbers mean but I want it long. That was the only communication between us throughout the session. She never asked me how I want it cut… she never gave me a chance to tell her how I want my back cut. She just suddenly took the trimmer and swiped across before I realized she was going to start cutting. The hair “cut” she did, I could have done that at home. I didn’t need the pros to do it. After she said “done” in less than 5 min, I told her I wanted it longer on the sides but she cut it too short. She again repeated the same exact sentence “oh that’s an 8”. Really? Sure “I want it long” doesn’t define how long it is. Stylists generally show a reference (with your own stretched hair) before starting to cut and that is the usual expectation. This isn’t the first time this happened. Last time, I actually showed a reference photo of myself and told her this is exactly how I wanted. Her reply was - that doesn’t tell me the full picture. Is she expecting me to give her a 3D render or what? For someone thinking - yeah that could be true, I use the same exact picture everywhere I go for a haircut and I never experienced this. The picture clearly shows how I want the front and the sides. This is the reason I didn’t show her a picture this time. I thought the first time was a one off or a bad day for them. But this will be my last time. One more mention. For the front, I had a few strands of hair that was unevenly long, so I asked her if she can cut it such that the hair is even and doesn’t fall below my eyebrows. Her reply was “oh that’s not a hair cut. That’s hair styling” and didn’t do it at first. Seriously? After I told her, sure if that’s how you want to call it, please I would like it this way…. Then she cut it. Obviously I don’t expect a pro hairstylist level cut. But I think these are just basics for a haircut. I don’t see any passion for the art here. They work very robotically (atleast the one who attended me). I have had great experiences with other great clips branches (in Arizona). Just this one didn’t work for me.

Probably one of the worst places I've gotten my hair cut. The woman didn't even introduce herself (older woman with salt and pepper hair) I told her I just wanted a wash and trim, she immediately said that was extra. I sat down and the entire place is covered in hair. Doesn't looks like it's been cleaned in weeks. Even her scissors had hair on them before she started. I've never seen anyone cut hair like she did and I'm scared to really see what she did. I wouldn't recommend anyone going there. $35 for a trim and shampoo is ridiculous

I went to this location back in October and the stylist absolutely killed it on my haircut. I don't recall her name but she was an older black woman. 10/10 would go back to her specifically. Great clips is such a dice roll but its great when you have someone who really does an excellent job
