- CCCrazi CaitAug 1, 20251.0Booked with Melba bc based off her profile picture online. it seemed like she’d be able to do the hair cut I wanted bc it was similar. But when I arrived I could tell that the profile picture I saw was taken at least 20 years ago. (Nothing wrong with age but that did raise my eyebrow since her haircut was the only reason I booked with her specifically) When I first sat down I told her not once but twice before we started any cutting I did NOT want full across bangs, maybe a long curtain at most for a shaggy face framing but nothing across my forehead when I showed her my inspiration pictures. She said that’s okay no worries she’s got it. So I figured she’d be able to do it. However she then proceeded to give me FULL ACROSS bangs and layer my hair where I said I did NOT want it layered. Looked nothing like the photos I showed her. Plus she didn’t ask how I parted my hair neither, she just started parting and I had to ask her to move it over some. On top of all of that she asked if I wanted to add a wash and style to my haircut and I said sure. My haircut was originally $12 (student discount) but I guess after adding the wash/style it was $50. I didn’t mind the price increase even though $38 seems crazy for a wash/style. However, she didn’t even asked how I wanted my hair styled. She just started doing whatever she wanted, & if I’m paying for the style you’d think they’d at least ask. & The same with the bangs, didn’t ask me if the length was even okay before cutting them super short & now I have to spend months growing them back out. Overall this experience was not great at all and despite some of the good reviews she has on here, I wouldn’t book with Melba again unless you’re just planning on getting your bottoms ends trimmed.
