  This was by far the worst experience we’ve ever had at a Great Clips. I am writing this review about both my husband’s and my 9-year-old son’s haircuts at the 119th location in Overland Park. First, the pricing was higher than other Great Clips locations. Most locations charge around $20 for adults and $18 for kids. Here, they charge $22 for adults and $20 for kids. However, they charged $22 for my 9-year-old son. When we asked why, she said she thought he was an adult. He is clearly a child. When we politely asked for a correction, she became irritated and said, “It’s only $2.” It’s not about $2 — it’s about honesty and professional service. We also had a $5 coupon, but with the sudden price increase and the way it was handled, it felt misleading. When we questioned the difference in pricing, we were told the owner raised prices “today, The haircuts were even worse than the pricing issue. We asked for a simple haircut for our son, but it was not finished properly. It looks rough, uneven, and messy — not blended and not professional. It honestly does not look like a completed haircut. My husband’s haircut was also poorly done and does not look clean or precise. To make matters worse, the staff were loudly talking and yelling to each other the entire time. It felt chaotic and unprofessional — more like being in a noisy bar than in a salon. I am attaching photos of what we asked for versus what we received so others can clearly see the difference. Very disappointing experience. We will not return to this location and do not recommend it.

  Worst haircut ever. Messed up my hair badly, rude, unprofessional. Can't even do a simple undercut !!!!!!

  This is my second time working with Raina, and both experiences have been amazing. The first time, I saw her the day I was due to have my baby, and she truly treated me like a queen. She took time to educate me about hair growth, care, and what to expect postpartum, which I appreciated so much. She worked efficiently, checked in throughout the cut to be sure we were aligned on length and style, and made me feel completely comfortable. I'll keep going back to her for that level of care and such an affordable price. Just wow.

  Welcoming and nice employees. Did a wonderful job referencing the photo I brought and were very attentive to and changes I wanted. Did a great job, will come back!

  The old lady that cut my hair did not seem to be a professional hair dresser. She cut my hair way too far up from my back on one side and that’s obviously not fixable and when I mentioned it I got a response that that’s good for a great clips standard. She did not blend the side of my hair either and just cut them directly to the desired size which is something every hair stylist knows the basics. This seems like a new location with a lack of experience.
