  I've been going to Michaela for about two years now. I'm so glad I found her. After moving to Kansas, I had a hard time finding somewhere that would be willing to cut my hair short and had the knowledge without giving me a weird bowl-cut. She listens to the ideas I have and brings me colors she thinks will look so good together and they always look so amazing! The cuts and color she puts in my hair always makes me feel so beautiful. She understands how my hair sets naturally and what colors will look best for me. I'm so thankful for finding her just when I was about to give up on taking care of my hair and just hoping for the best.

  Salon prices for below average quality . I received a color dye and it bleed all over my eyebrows, clothes and earrings. Sloppy rude work. Save your money. Always a rushed job! Eyebrows barely even or cleaned. Disgusting work.

  I am writing this review as a warning for anyone considering going to the JCPenny salon located in the Manhattan Town Center mall. I recently went in for a service and the experience was terrible.The stylist that did my cut was named Mary. She is very unprofessional and damaged my hair. I requested to speak to the manager and was directed to speak to Morgan Trapp. She was even worse than Mary. Immediately upon contact she was defensive, rude and argumentative. She didn't even have the skills to fix the problem and assigned another stylist to try to fix my haircut. However, due to her nastiness she made a bad situation even more uncomfortable and tense.This is not they type of service that I was expecting from such a reputable salon. I am appalled that JC Penny would have someone like Ms. Trapp as the manager of one of their salons. She clearly does not have the skills and lacks the professionalism for the job. If I ever go back, I will make sure that I request a specific stylist. However, as long as Ms. Trapp is there as a manager, I will not go back. It is sad that she is the representative of the salon. Her demeanor, appearance and professionalism is unacceptable. I would expect a lot more from JCPenny.

  Where do I begin?! Not only do I LOVE the ladies who work here but the work they do is incredible. The time they take to understand not only what you want done for a style and/or color, but also who you are as a person makes me such an incredibly happy customer! I’ve always been an individual to trust no one with my thick locks, but every experience I have had with Michaela has been nothing shy of AMAZING. We’ve slowly taken my hair from a natural dirty blonde back to a blonde blonde and I’ve had zero damage to my natural hair. She has listened to every need/want I could ask for and has me leaving the salon feeling like a refreshed bombshell every time. Thank you for being not only an amazing stylist but an amazing person too!

  I take delight in writing his review, Dont waste your money here. Mikala colored my hair ONCE. Her personality is very abrasive and extroverted. After 4 hours of being there waiting or her to finish coloring my hair and hearing about her dog and her her boyfriend and her mother issues, I was drained and didnt want to go back. I tried Jen, and she is really nice but I left and got home and sill had gray in my temples after paying $100 for a color. Uhg I tried rescheduling but found myself dreading going back there, and the customer service sucks. I need to have my hair colored but will be finding another salon to go to in Manhattan. These girls are VERY YOUNG and inexperienced with middle aged people or other aged clients other then YOUNG. There must be a management problem as the stylists answer the front desk calls I don't recommended this place to spend your money, they take forever to color your hair, they are young and not good with CUSTOMER SERVICE. Waste of time, bad hair color waste of money , and whole day spent with an immature girl talking about her dog. Do your research and do not go there. Reviews matter, this place SUCKS. If you give them a second chance you will find yourself DREDING go back. thye need to look at theier reviews and make some changes. I will never take my time or my MONEY back there.
