- MLM LGNov 20, 20251.0I am writing this review as a warning for anyone considering going to the JCPenny salon located in the Manhattan Town Center mall. I recently went in for a service and the experience was terrible.The stylist that did my cut was named Mary. She is very unprofessional and damaged my hair. I requested to speak to the manager and was directed to speak to Morgan Trapp. She was even worse than Mary. Immediately upon contact she was defensive, rude and argumentative. She didn't even have the skills to fix the problem and assigned another stylist to try to fix my haircut. However, due to her nastiness she made a bad situation even more uncomfortable and tense.This is not they type of service that I was expecting from such a reputable salon. I am appalled that JC Penny would have someone like Ms. Trapp as the manager of one of their salons. She clearly does not have the skills and lacks the professionalism for the job. If I ever go back, I will make sure that I request a specific stylist. However, as long as Ms. Trapp is there as a manager, I will not go back. It is sad that she is the representative of the salon. Her demeanor, appearance and professionalism is unacceptable. I would expect a lot more from JCPenny.
- LWLindsey WSep 3, 20255.0I was so pleasantly surprised by my experience! I got an express cut because I had my children with me and the entire staff was outstanding, kind and hospitable. They were so kind and helpful to me and my children. My cut was exactly what I wanted without all the extra costs. This was truly the best salon experience I have had in years. HIGHLY recommend and I have now found my permanent salon while stationed here.

To make matters worse, she even tried to get me to cut my hair short saying that "older women don't look good with long hair." I don't think 30's is old and I should be able to wear my hair however I like. She was very insulting and pushy with how SHE wanted my hair to look. Had all over highlights done, but you couldn't tell any difference. Extremely dissatisfied with this salon and it's so-called "service". (They also have a very high turn-over on hairstylists.) You could not pay me to have my hair done here again! Complete nightmare!
