Forest Lagoon is absolutely beautiful, which made our experience there all the more disappointing. We were genuinely surprised by the atmosphere. There were several bachelor and bachelorette groups, including a group of men who appeared to be quite intoxicated, possibly before they even arrived, playing chicken in the lagoon on each other’s shoulders. Guests were drinking alcohol in the steam room and sauna, and a large, clearly intoxicated bachelorette party was yelling and screaming loudly enough to annoy multiple other guests. What makes this particularly surprising is that Forest Lagoon's own published policies say that guests who appear to be under the influence of alcohol may be breathalyzed and refused entry, and that guests whose behavior interferes with the safety or enjoyment of others may be removed. In practice, none of that seemed to matter. The behavior was reported to staff, and the response was essentially indifference. No manager appeared, no one intervened, and there seemed to be no visible adult supervision or management presence whatsoever. The front-line staff appeared to have simply accepted this as normal. That was probably the most disappointing part. You can always encounter inconsiderate guests. What determines the character of a place is how management handles them. Forest Lagoon markets itself as a peaceful, relaxing geothermal spa experience. What we encountered felt much closer to a party pool with an exceptionally beautiful Icelandic backdrop. If bachelor and bachelorette parties, obvious intoxication, and disruptive behavior are going to be routinely tolerated, that should probably be made clearer to guests before they pay for what they believe will be a tranquil spa experience. The setting and facility are gorgeous. With attentive management and some basic enforcement of their own policies, this could be exceptional. Instead, it felt like nobody was really in charge.

Visited Forest Lagoon recently and had a terrible experience. My friend's shoes were stolen/lost during our visit. When we brought this up to the staff at the reception, the only response we got was "I'm not responsible." No empathy, no effort to help, and zero interest in fixing a clear security flaw. They need to update their process and offer locked storage for shoes instead of hiding behind a "not my responsibility" attitude. Would not recommend until they fix their security and train their staff.

**Nice experience, but overpriced and not really a thermal spa** The Forest Lagoon is a nice experience and definitely worth seeing once, but in our opinion it should not really be compared to a traditional thermal spa. It is essentially one or two large pools with warm to hot water. Unlike many other thermal spas, however, there are hardly any opportunities to relax or spend a longer period of time there. You basically leave the changing room and get straight into the water, with no real lounging areas, sunbeds or similar places where you can comfortably relax outside the pool. Another thing we did not particularly like was the strict policy regarding drinks. Bringing your own drinks is not allowed – whether in plastic bottles, cups, cans or similar containers. This means that if you do not want to stick to the tap water provided, you are more or less forced to buy drinks at the bar inside the lagoon, where prices are quite high. This gave us the impression that guests are being pushed towards additional consumption. The lagoon itself was definitely a cool experience, and the setting is beautiful. However, considering the entrance fee of more than €50 per person, we expected more opportunities to relax and spend time there without having to purchase additional services. Overall, we enjoyed visiting the Forest Lagoon, but the combination of the high entrance price, limited possibilities to relax and the strong emphasis on additional consumption means that we would probably not do this a second time.
