I came in with a very messed up haircut that I wanted help getting fixed, granted I didnt give her a lot to work with it was pretty short, the haircut itself doesn't look awful. The hair cut I wanted was a bit odd, but shouldn't have been as difficult as she was making it out to be. I wanted a "jellyfish" hair cut, short in the back, with longer bits in the front I could braid or curl. But she refused to listen to what I wanted and instead of making me feel better about my hair, she was incredibly judgmental, and rude. She just kept telling me how she didn't like it and when I would suggest how I wanted it to look she immediately shut me down and told me how it was going to look bad. I understand that I am not a hairdresser and don't completely understand how layers work, but that is no excuse for her behavior. She made me feel even more insecure after the haircut than when I walked in, constantly sighing while cutting my hair. Part of a hair stylist's job is to make their clients feel comfortable and confident with their hairstyle. So having someone I entrusted my hair to, say to my face that they didnt like it was incredibly disrespectful and unnecessarily rude. I will not be coming back to this location. However, Joyce, the hairstylist with the Christmas ornament earrings did an amazing job on my friends hair. She knew what she was doing, styled it nicely, was extremely kind, and made nice small talk while she worked on my friends hair. 5 stars for her, thank you.
