I am a very disappointed and dissatisfied customer on how Woodhouse Spa handled having to cancel my 83 year old mom and my services. I spent $495.00 on gift cards for 3 services while my mom was visiting for Christmas from out of state. I had pre scheduled our appts the weekend after Christmas months in advance. My mom ended up getting very sick and I had to cancel our appts. I didn’t realize their policy was to cancel 24 hours in advance but I happened to call 23 hours and 45 minutes before and they said they would need to charge my Visa the full amount! So essentially they double charged me since I had already paid for the gift cards. I spoke to management a second time saying this didn’t set well with me and they ended up crediting my Visa card the $495.00 but also deactivated my gift cards. I anonymously called the day our services were supposed to happen to see if they had any openings that day (just out of curiosity) and they said they were 100% booked. Therefore they were actually triple dipping by charging my Visa $495.00, deactivating my gift cards and they filled our time slots with other customers. Horrible service when I called them 15 minutes shy of their 24 hour cancellation policy. I could understand a “cancellation fee” but to charge the entire amount is absurd!!!! I was so sad my mom didn’t get to use her Christmas gift and upset with how Woodhouse handled the whole situation. I will never schedule there again and will spread the word on what they did to everyone I know! 😡

The Woodhouse Spa in Fort Wayne, IN, offers a uniquely calming escape from daily stress. My experience with Cynthia, who performed a deep tissue massage incorporating stretching and cupping, was exceptional. While I experienced some soreness the following day, it was a testament to the effectiveness of the treatment. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

Very nice atmosphere. Amenities are great. Staff were great. Massages were great. Met all expectations. I only have one suggestion, Maybee for first timers reach out to them before hand to inform them of all the amenities and options that you are able to enjoy beforehand as well as after the massage. Even include Maybee a FAQ link in the text you send out prior to confirming the reservation, including the information. Maybe even some recommendations as to what to bring to enhance the experience, or what others have done in the past. I read where someone brought in their own wine. Didn’t realize this was an option. . Also, explaining the locker room etiquette, I don’t mind getting undressed in front of others, but is this the expectation or are you suppose to go into a shower stall to get changed? I didn’t want to make others uncomfortable but it was rather confusing as far as what to do where??? I think the second time around I would do things much differently but could have capitalized on it my first time had I known. Otherwise, everything was great.

Every time I visit my sister we plan a day at woodhouse! It is much appreciated that this location allows you to bring your own food, serves wine, and provides extra amenities to enjoy like the sauna, steam room, cold plunge shower, the quiet room and the lounge. My service has always been top notch. The only reason I am giving this a 4 instead of a 5 is a few slight changes were made that I don’t think it were for the better …the robes don’t have pockets and were itchy. Because the robes do not have pockets, people wear their keychain around their hand for the lockers, and they jingle very loudly and then amplify that by all the people sitting together in the lounge or walking around, I could even hear them in the hallway during my massage. Other than that everything is great but those 2 changes definitely impacted th ability to relax and feel zen.

Would leave zero stars if possible. I had received a gift card I was going to use for my services and had to cancel due to an emergency situation where my baby was in the ER. They told me due to their policy I had to spend the money and be given a credit basically “prepay” is what they said, but receive a credit for a future service, but could not do the same with me using a gift card and receiving a credit. Money is money. I’m not sure why this was such a big ordeal. I told them I did not want to lose out on almost $500 for couple’s massages when I was paying with a gift card to begin with. I went back and forth and the manager kept talking in circles about how this was policy and that I would be forfeiting the money on the gift card and would have to pay for the service if I rescheduled. Their services themselves may be great, but their policies and everything else are dumb and if you book and end up having to cancel just know you’re going to be paying double to woodhouse and have to go back for another service even if you don’t want to.
