  I requested a deep tissue massage and was excited about working some knots out of my back… that didn’t happen. I got a Swedish massage that focused more on my legs and arms, there wasn’t a lot of time spent on my back. There wasn’t ever a time when I felt any pressure or focus on a single knot. It was all long strokes. I did add a 30 minute scalp massage though and it was nice. Years ago, I came to Woodhouse regularly but stopped when my favorite masseuse left. I’ve tried deep tissue massages every once in a while since then and never get a decent one. The atmosphere, ambience, and customer service are amazing here though. My extra charge for deep tissue was removed. I just like to feel like my body has been worked after a massage and maybe a little sore after a deep tissue. I’m sorry to say that I wish I hadn’t wasted the $260.

  Woodhouse Spa-Fort Wayne, is by far the best day Spa in the tri-state area. My wife and I have visited other Woodhouse Spas, and this by far is top notch. We have been treated so well and greeted with the utmost professionalism every time we have been to this facility. I would highly recommend this location to anyone looking for a very nice, relaxing evening with your significant other or even on your own. Highly recommended. Thank you Wood spa Fort Wayne. The quiet room, the massages and the shower rooms are amazing.

  I’ve been to this location before and have had good experiences, which is why this visit was disappointing. I scheduled a deep tissue massage with an add-on, and this was my first time with this particular therapist. Unfortunately, the pressure and technique felt very light and didn’t resemble a deep tissue massage. The areas I mentioned needing attention didn’t feel like they were really worked on. The staff was still friendly and the environment is nice, which is why I’ve returned in the past. I’m sharing this as constructive feedback because I’ve had better experiences here before and hope future appointments can better match the service that’s being booked.

  I had an 80 minute deep tissue with hot stones, cupping, and aromatherapy with Brenda today. Good. Night. Nurse. I was in and out of consciousness for this session. She asked what areas I wanted to focus on, checked in with me about the pressure, and she had a smooth flow. She read my body like a book and was able to hold space for my body to soften. The table was warm, the towels were hot, and the stones were a perfect temperature. The cupping was amazing! The Woodhouse always feels luxurious and we all need a little extra TLC. But, getting a high end experience with a great massage therapist is what makes it so worthwhile. Thank you, Brenda! 🩷

  I had two negative experiences in a row at Woodhouse. Both experiences were for massages, the second one I splurged for a scalp massage add on. The massages themselves were great, but the front of house and locker room experiences were terrible both times. The first time I wasn’t offered the complimentary hot towel upon arrival even though the women in front of me were, I was given the wrong kind of wine and it took forever to get the right kind, and I asked for a bandaid because I had a cut and was bleeding and it took 3 people 20 minutes to bring me one. The second experience I also was not offered the complimentary hot towel even though the women in front of me were, and was once again given the wrong kind of wine. But things got way worse from there. The steam room was down and there was a sign on the door saying to use the personal showers as they “offer steam services” When I try to relax in the small shower and use it as a steam room there’s a constant sound of a power drill going off like it’s a giant construction zone. And when I walk out of the shower one of the women working says “just a heads up, there’s guys coming in and out doing work here” I AM IN A TOWEL among many women who are also either naked or only in a towel and this is the only warning we get?!? And when I go to pay one of my gift cards isn’t working due to what was eventually discovered to be an error on the part of the person who loaded it. The employee trying to run the gift card was very rude and made me feel shameful for their mistake. Mind you, the first time I went was my husband’s anniversary gift to me and the second time was my husband’s Christmas gift to me. Both ruined by poor front of house staff. When I tried to talk to management about it it took nine days for anyone to get back with me and all they offered was a “day pass” to use the amenities that are included with the price of a massage. They gave me a useless voucher instead of any sort of refund or offer on an actual service. Might as well offer me a free fountain soda, it’s no skin off their back to let me take a free shower there. Thanks for a giant slap in the face and a ruined anniversary and Christmas gift. Madi, the faux manager, was the one who offered me a day pass of services that already exist for my purchases. Just to clarify. Her name is MADI, and she claims to be the manager.
