- ZZZJul 13, 20241.0I went to the Sephora with my friend to grab a few things to shop for make up at first everything was fine. The lady there was helpful. I didn’t catch her name but once we were there for five minutes, we started noticing that she was following us around everywhere I would go she would go and obviously I was the only POC in the Sephora, so it was clearly obvious that she was following me around because I was black. It made me very uncomfortable, so I decided to say out loud that I will be leaving and putting it back and not purchasing anything and going to Ulta because I’m uncomfortable. Sephora has always had an issue with black customer shopping there. Hopefully they can resolve this because it obviously makes people uncomfortable. I would recommend not following your POC customers around not everyone that’s black is going to steal.
