- PBPaint The BaitFeb 22, 20262.0My stylist was very sweet, but cutting hair needs improvement. The stylist that cut my son's hair was a little abrasive and not much better with the cutting. My son's #1 fade ended up looking like a half bowl cut. She was onto the next customer before I could say anything because we were both getting cut at the same time... My hair cut same style, she dry scissor cut only half of the top, as for the fade, one side was left longer than the other somehow. Instead of a #1 fade, I got a #2 even though she read the sheet off to me before she started. I didn't bother telling her to fix it, because I was afraid it might get worse. When my wife saw it, she looked at me funny and asked if I got my hair cut at all. Great Clips isn't so great to begin with, but we were in a hurry... Needless to say, now, a couple of days later, we are going somewhere else to try to salvage the cuts... So I'm out $50 for the botched Great Clips job, plus whatever the new ones are. My stylist was nice, my son's (older lady with white hair) was not. Unless you're shaving your head maybe just snipping off the tips, I'd go somewhere else. These were hands down the worst haircuts we have had in a few years. The last time was, not so ironically, a different Great Clips. There's a sports clips and a super cuts around the corner, try one of those. Or go to target and buy some clippers. You'll spend just as much and have the same results. Maybe better.

Online Check-In can be used for all services except perms and formal updos. Please note that not all salons offer perms. Most salons require an appointment for these services, so please call your local Great Clips salon to inquire.
Can I request a stylist using Online Check-In?
No. For the stylist’s safety, we do not publish their schedules or allow customers to request them using Online Check-In. Great Clips salons use Clip Notes®, which keeps track of any previous haircut you received at a Great Clips salon, so any stylist can give you a great haircut. If you would like to request a particular stylist, be sure to say that when you arrive at the salon and finish your check-in. Note that requesting a stylist may increase your estimated wait time.
If I checked in online, do I need to do anything when I arrive at the salon?
Once you arrive, check in at the receptionist desk to let the stylists know you're there. They will finish checking you in at that time.
