  I was there this morning for a haircut. The older guy before me was with his son, and he was talking about being single and traveling to Thailand. He mentioned that the girls there are 'hot' and invited the hairstylist to join him on a trip to Thailand a couple of times. The stylist responded by saying she has nine days of vacation but cannot go right now. What kind of trash talks about girls like that right in front of his son? It was such an uncomfortable conversation that I had to go outside for a walk just to avoid it. It was a highly unprofessional and unpleasant experience.

  I have been going to this Great Clips for a few years. It has always been good, convenient, quick and usually get the cut I want. But recently I had an AMAZING experience here. A new stylist, AMANDA, greeted me with a smile and asked if I had checked in online. I confirmed that I had and within a minute she whisked me back to begin my long overdue haircut. I'm usually skeptical of new stylists and not typically one to chit chat much but Amanda made it easy to not only explain the specifics of how I wanted my hair to be cut, but to also open up a little and enjoy some easy banter. She made me feel at ease and even complimented my bold styling choices. When the cut was finished she politely asked if there was anything more she could do for me. As I always do, I asked her to wash me out in order to keep the tiny clippings from getting all over me. She smiled and said, "of course", and with a hop in her step, led me to the wash sink. This is where I think I could have stayed for the rest of my life. It was without a doubt the best scalp massage, hair wash, follicle cleansing, earth moving, spiritual experience I have ever had. And I've been to Thailand. IYKYK. When she finished, I remarked that it was amazing and she said, "well lucky for you, I always do it twice." And she proceeded to repeat the whole process over again. I was in heaven. Her surprisingly strong yet delicate fingertips finding pressure points I never knew I had applying just enough force to activate and release the tensions built up over the long Holiday season. Her manicured nails lightly caressing the sensitive flesh hidden just below my newly clipped quaff sent chills down my spine as the foaming bubbles from the lightly scented shampoo quietly lifted the last remaining remnants of burden from my weary soul. I was in a literal daze when she finished and towel dried my hair. She asked if I wanted any product to put in my hair and I was honestly too breathlessly hazy to even understand what she had said. With a coy smile she asked again. No, I said as I stumbled on weak knees back over to her station. I gathered my things, checked my look in the mirror, and headed to the front to pay. I tipped her $20 and she thanked me profusely. I said, No... Thank you. And with a wink and a smile, I was on my way. I can't wait for my hair to grow back so I can relive this incredible experience all over again. Loyal customer for life. Keep up the good work Amanda. I'll be seeing you again soon.
