  My toddler has been going to Destiny since her very first haircut, and I can’t say enough good things about her! She is always so patient, gentle, and kind, which makes such a difference when working with little ones. She takes her time and always makes sure my toddler is comfortable, and the haircut always turns out adorable. It’s clear she truly cares about what she does and about her clients.

  I have brought my elderly Mother here a handful of times and it has been hit/miss depending on who is available for the cut. She has dementia and cannot communicate her needs so I am the one to discuss with the stylist what her needs are. (Caregivers will understand this most- your loved ones with this disease need a good hair wash and blow out from time to time and a hair trim.) I expressed to the stylist (with very short, colored hair, sorry for not recalling the name) that my Mom has Alzheimer's and really needs a good wash and blowout most of all and a slight trim. Before I could even communicate her full needs, they immediately cut me off saying they only do a blowout with an appointment for styling as it would delay the waitlist on a walk in appointment. My mother has short hair and at most it may have taken 5-10 minutes to take a round brush to blow it out. The cut was a slight trim, not time consuming. We were not looking for any detailed styling. This was solely a personal hygiene need for my Mom. They said they could only rough dry it and did not seem open to really understanding the situation to have some flexibility. There was not much empathy or an attempt to understand the situation. Important note: There were no other people waiting in the store at that time so there would be no delay and other stylists were waiting around for customers. I have since looked up the appointment comment and learned that most Great Clips do a true blow dry after a cut for walk-ins and there isn't even a place online to make an appointment. They encourage all walk-ins and waitlists. It's not the first time I have seen this particular stylist cut people off and not listen to the customer's needs. I witnessed an older gentleman get out of the chair and walk out due to the tone and manner of speaking of this stylist as well. There is an immediate defensive tone and manner in which this stylist deals with customers and I'm sorry, but it's not a great experience for this location as a result.

  After years of going to this location. I had my family hair cut and more there. After today when I was told they do not do fades and lining done there. (After I had them done there before from an amazing stylist misty. Which wasn't there today) Just gave me a bad taste for them lying about them not doing that. I am not going to a different place now. Thank you for the years but after that one lie. We are going to part ways.
