- NJnicole JordineOct 31, 20251.0I’m really disappointed with my recent haircut at Great Clips. I asked for a long bob (lob) and made it clear that I wanted the hair in front to touch my shoulders when dry. I also explained that I have naturally curly hair, so it would shrink when it dried and needed to be cut accordingly. The stylist, who mentioned she had recently graduated from hair school in July, seemed very nice but cut a huge portion off right away — taking it up to my shoulders while still wet. At that point, I knew it was already too short, and by the time she finished, it was much shorter than I asked for. There was no way to fix it at that point. She seemed proud of the result, and my daughter even told me, “you’re so pretty — but it’s so short.” I still paid and left a tip, hoping the cut would grow on me, but it hasn’t. I truly wish she had listened more carefully and considered how curly hair reacts once it dries.

There was an older blonde lady who styled my hair, and she did such a nice job—I really liked it. About a week ago, I went back to Great Clips, but I didn’t see the same lady. I thought, OK, this will be fine, and I walked out, but I wasn’t very pleased with my haircut. I hope I can find the blonde lady again! I don't remember her name, by the way.

Great Clips salons use Clip Notes®, which keeps track of any previous haircut you received at a Great Clips salon, so any stylist can give you a great haircut. If you would like to request a particular stylist, be sure to say that when you arrive at the salon and finish your check-in. Note that requesting a stylist may increase your estimated wait time.
If I checked in online, do I need to do anything when I arrive at the salon?
Once you arrive, check in at the receptionist desk to let the stylists know you're there. They will finish checking you in at that time.
