However, two family members haircuts were completely butchered. Most upsetting was that my four year old with Down syndrome was treated like a nuisance. The lady cutting his hair tried her best, but the haircut looked awful. Her coworker came over to “help,” but all she did was grab a clippers, shove it on my son’s neck and hands saying “oh it doesn’t hurt!” Then she took a few swipes at his hair with the razor, and pronounced “you’re done!” We took my son to JC Penney, where a much more experienced, patient, and compassionate lady fixed the botched haircut.
