- AMA MApr 3, 20261.0Went in with my mom and the experience was all over the place in the worst way. The girl who did my hair was actually friendly and did a decent job, and I appreciated that she even apologized for what happened next. But the woman who did my mom’s hair? Completely unacceptable. She was rude, unprofessional, and on top of that, she messed up my mom’s hair. The whole interaction felt off and disrespectful, and it honestly ruined the entire visit. One nice stylist doesn’t make up for that kind of experience. Definitely not coming back.
- KYKerry YandelApr 2, 20262.00 stars to the girl who who saw me first - I asked for a trim of 2 inches, maintain my long layers (my hair was below my shoulders), and maintain the frame around my face. I left with almost 6 inches of length removed, SHORT layers AND my baby-fine hair texturized (we NEVER spoke of ANY texturizing) to a point so far beyond wispy that the next girl who helped me actually asked in amazement/horror "why are there HOLES in your hair?"! Basically I got a mullet - think Carol Brady, but mid-chemo. FIVE STARS to the girls who helped me later that day when I came back (panicked and tearfully). They bumped me to the front of the line and salvaged my hair into a cut that was at least no longer embarrassing and will be at best be functional while I wait for it to grow back out. It will take at least a year... I ASKED FOR A TRIM AND MAINTENANCE. Instead, my hair and my self-image were violated. I do not think for a moment that it was intentional, but it was a direct result of lazy service. GC keeps style notes for regular customers - this was the first stylist I have encountered who did not check those notes and ask about them, nor did she double check with me what her interpretation of "2 inches" was, nor ask me how I wear my hair daily or even where I part it. And the fact that the very next girl who looked at my hair was SHOCKED and could not understand why or what the other girl was even trying to achieve indicates to me that she was not really giving me, my hair, and my look any thought while she worked or after. I could not trust her to address the damage she had done. I will be avoiding her at all costs in the future.
