When we arrived, no nurse was in store at the booked time to perform the piercing. No courtesy call or message to let us know. While the staff was kind, the aftercare guidance we were given was inconsistent and directly led to her piercing closing. At the appointment, we were clearly told to clean and twist the earrings daily and that after 30 days we could change them. We followed those instructions exactly. On day 30, removing the earrings was painful for my daughter, and within hours the hole had already closed. Only after this happened did another Rowan employee tell us that young children should actually wait 6 months to a year before changing earrings—which completely contradicts what we were told initially. We spent $169.34 on the piercing, earrings, and aftercare, and my daughter—who worked hard to overcome her fear—was left devastated. When we contacted customer support, they acknowledged the confusion but refused any resolution, citing a strict 30-day policy. For a company that markets itself as nurse-led and child-focused, the lack of accountability and empathy was extremely disappointing. Parents should ask very detailed questions before trusting the aftercare advice given here.

Varynda was the nurse who did my helix piercing, she was so kind, put me completely at ease beforehand, and was skilled so the piercing itself went as quickly & painlessly as it possibly could have. She was so in depth about the healing process and aftercare instructions, I felt that I was in good hands and loved that I was getting pierced by a medical professional. I'll definitely be returning to Rowan for future piercings!

Rowan offers lobe, upper lobe, mid helix, helix, forward helix, flat, conch and tragus, however, piercing placement availability may vary by studio location. We do not pierce the daith, industrial, nose or other body parts beyond the ears.

We are a cashless studio.
