I’ve never been moved to write a Google review until today. I’ve been seeing Masha faithfully for close to a year, and she is absolutely amazing. I had another wonderful appointment with her today.
I had no issue with the price increase from $75 to $82 in January 2025, as I’m more than willing to pay for excellent work. However, when I tried to book a future Saturday appointment today , I was told the price would be $110 for the exact same service because she is considered a “top nail tech.” Masha has always been a top nail tech, so this explanation didn’t make sense. I reached out for clarification via email and was told that since her hours were being reduced, weekday appointments remain $82 but Saturday appointments are nearly $30 more for the same service.
It feels like an unfair and questionable business practice to saddle loyal clients with additional costs to offset scheduling changes. Masha’s work is outstanding, but the pricing policy is disappointing and I will be taking my business elsewhere.
Response to J Salon:
Just say you increased her rate by $30 and stop pretending it’s a different service. The description on your booking site reads the same as a regular gel manicure. Monday-Friday it’s $82 and on the weekend it’s $110. The service is no different. You’re price gouging and trying to justify it. It ridiculous.
