  What an absolutely fabulous experience at Maison de Diptyque Chicago with Renier! It's a bit overwhelming at first but Renier walked me through the store and products, thoughtfully pulling samples for me to smell (key word thoughtfully because I didn't want to smell everything). She took careful note of my reactions and was able to steer me in the right note/fragrance family direction. I left with a bag full of goodies beautifully wrapped that I am so excited to use! I highly recommend you stop in at this boutique- I dare you to leave without purchasing something. Ask for Renier for a truly bespoke shopping experience. Bonus: Renier was able to identify a Diptyue perfume I bought 14 years ago at the Holt Renfrew in Montreal and could never remember the name of. I was amazed she was able to find it (L'Eau) given the limited description I provided ("warm & spicy") 😂. Renier knows her Diptyque fragrances!

  Honestly one of the worst perfume shopping experiences I’ve ever had. The atmosphere of the store seems very elitist and snobbish, so if you don’t appear to be their typical shopper demographic they don’t care to entertain you. The man working there was particularly rude and refused to let me smell some perfumes while another couple was shopping which I’ve also never seen before. The customer service at Le Labo around the corner is a million times better

  Came here in the summer to check out the hesperides perfume. I want to say they have the entire fleet there, possibly more than what you can find on their website, even the new ones, even the old lol. So I was able to smell any that I was curious about. I also discovered the tiny compact solid perfume version they have. The decor of the place gave me 19th century vibes. It’s lovely, so is the staff that day. She didn’t make me feel less comfortable about wanting to try many scents and tried to answer all my questions. I ended up getting a small Oyendo in addition to the Hesperides.

  At an Illinois Institute of Technology salon-style event, we guests received a fabulous sample satchel of these fine aromatic scents courtesy of Chicago Diptyque. A store rep was there, very polite.

  I have only had very beautiful shopping experiences at this location. So much so that I drove through rush hour traffic to purchase a candle in person instead of ordering online. It’s located in a bustling corridor with great eateries. The store attendant, Steven is always professional and welcoming. My candle was engraved and beautifully packaged. But the highlight was after a brief discussion regarding fragrances that I enjoy, there were samples placed in my bag that complimented my chemistry and I was able to find a new fragrance! This location won’t disappoint you.
