  I went yesterday January 21, 2026 I booked an appointment for a rinse. It said $18 I set the appointment for 11 a.m. picked a name they said available online. I was at the shop on time and Noone was around to service me. I walked around the store seen a jc penney worker and asked was the salon open. She went to the salon to make calls to see if someone was available. I walked around the store until someone came in. Waited over an hour for her to arrive. She asked was I only getting the rinse I said yes and she pulled the book of hair colors for the rinse out and they didn't have the color I wanted so I settled for a color they had. She proceeded to wash my hair to place the rinse in and told me to sit for 25 minutes for the rinse can take. She went to talk to her coworkers about my hair and came back with another coworker to tell me the price would not be what I booked for and I had to pay $70 dollars or they wouldn't blow dry my hair once she rinse the rinse out my hair. I told her online it said $18 for a rinse she told me since my hair isn't relaxed it isn't $18 it's more and stated again that I had to pay $70 for my hair to get blow dried. It was single digits temperature outside and you telling me I can't get my hair blow dried if I don't pay. I agreed to pay so they can blow dry my hair. If I would've been told this before hand I would've never went through with the service. I called multiple times to see if the price online was correct to no answer the day before. The stylist blow dried my hair but it was a quick blow dry and not even blow dried out straight. I called the shop again today which us January 23, 2026 to ask to speak to a manager but as usual the phone isn't being answered. I have called corporate to file a complaint and to be reimbursed. I shouldn't have had to pay over $50 for a service I tried to get clarification over that was $18. I even asked can i oay for a wash and blow dry and add the rinse as an add on. The other stylist said no its $70. I do not recommend this place at all. The three stylist that was there had bad attitudes. Talked about their personal life and inappropriate topics all within ear shot. I was sat at the shampoo bowl to wait to let shampoo sit in my hair again with the conditioner so the stylist can go talk with her coworkers. When they first came in and asked the stylist how her day was, she made a face and the other stylist laughed and said I can see it in your face. If she had an issues with doing my hair she couldve not done it. I coudlve went somewhere else. Than she listed my service as hair extension. Because that was the only way to list the price as $70 is what she told me. I highly do not recommend this shop. Try the shop in mattenson and ask for cece she does an amazing job and very informative and tells you before you sit down what the prices are. I usally go to her but needed my rinse done befire today. This location in calumet city the stylist who did my hair is Brittany. I dont know the worker name she had on blue jogging fit and a weave ponytail in her hair incase the manager wanted to look at the cameras to see which worker it was. I would not return to this shop for any service.

  Update 11/1- I came back the next day and scheduled with Brittany. Her profile spoke about healthy hair, so I went with her. Today was a lot different. There were several stylists and customers and the salon had a busy, positive energy. Brittany greeted me right away, evaluated my hair, took pictures of my hair and explained my options. I decided to cut several inches of hair to eliminate most of my color. I left with a great bob style and important hair education. I am extremely happy with the final result. 10/31I arrived for a 4:45pm appt only to see that there was one stylist working and she had quite a bit left to do for the client she was working on. She told me the salon closed at 6pm and I should’ve called instead of booked an appointment online in order to get the service I requested. I decided to post a review when I saw that they actually closed at 7pm; not 6pm as stated.

  The Stylist, "Z" did my 9 year old daughter's hair. She was professional, engaging and patient with my child. "Z" consistently worked on my child's hair from start to finish. She was never on her phone, never texting and never involved in conversations that would be inappropriate for my child while doing her hair. I will definitely come back to the salon and let "Z" do my daughter's hair.

  I have been going to this salon for years and I love Leah and Ramone!! I have soft hair and they always do an amazing job. I just hate that the salon doesn't have WiFi!! Sometimes a service can be over 2 hours and that's too hours too long with poor phone reception and no WiFi!! Salon could use updating as well considering the amount of money you'll spend for these talented stylist.
