Our nurse was Lanie and she was the best! He’s so excited to have it and it added such a fun stop to our day! Absolutely recommend Rowan to anyone!
- PMPam MatthewsNov 14, 20255.0I had my earlobe surgically repaired by a plastic surgeon a year ago after it had torn. I scheduled a consultation at Rowan to see if it was possible to safely re-pierce and have it match my other ear. Rowan granted me extra time to meet with them for an extensive evaluation without any pressure to piece. I was granted ample time and explained what my options were but I was happy to learn that I could re-pierce. The technician carefully assessed and planned the piercing so it would look good and not involve scar tissue. The expertise, personalized care and experience overall was very successful, professional, painless and personable and I could tell that they were happy that I was so happy with the results. The after care instructions were very thorough and I appreciated their recommendations and asking if I had any questions or concerns. Whether this is your first piercing or not, I am very happy with the care I received. Their jewelry options are really nice and their service area is very comfortable. I highly recommend making an appointment if you can. Rowan I’m glad you are providing piercing services in our local area. She helped me pick out what jewelry would be best for the area I was piercing & made me feel so comfortable. Laney was the nurse that did my piercing and she too is very kind and informative! They both made me feel so comfortable and made the entire experience so fun. I will definitely be back for more in the future!
- CFCary FortinNov 10, 20252.0TLDR: over-priced gun piercing with a nurse who did not understand (or seem to enjoy) children. My 6 year old had her ears pierced at Rowan over the weekend. A friend found Rowan and it sounded ideal -- certified nurses in a clean, child-centered environment. Unfortunately, it was a really disappointing experience for me and much more challenging that needed for my daughter and SO expensive: $140 for "device" piercing and the least expensive earrings. Basically, my daughter got the same piercing gun piercing I got at Claire's in the 90s but for 10x the price. For pros, the space is beautiful and well branded and clean and it's so convenient that it's in the village, but even with all of that it is SO not worth it. The nurse herself seemed unfamiliar with working with children. I asked her if she'd pierce both as quickly as possible, knowing that my daughter would naturally feel some pain and upset. Instead, she insisted on waiting for my daughter to "calm down" and "verbally consent" to having her second ear pierced. My daughter clearly really wanted her ears pierced and had been begging for months and had one ear done; dragging out the process and forcing her to calm and cope while sitting in a chair and having staff watch her was so uncomfortable for both of us. A friend's daughter had her ears tandem pierced at Hippie Hoops & Holes where they used a needle (better for healing) and numbing cream. They explained to her daughter the process clearly and with a lot of enthusiasm and afterwards she had incredibly limited pain.
- ERErica RossiNov 4, 20252.0Upside was our nurse. Megan was very very sweet. She was the highlight of the experience. Unfortunately, I felt like the rest was pretty much downsides: very overpriced, it was $161 for my daughter to get her ears pierced with the cheapest earring set that they offered. The aftercare is not included, and you are to tip your piercer. I made an appointment online and even called to confirm it, but when I got there, someone had just started, so we waited through her entire experience. Also, the manager gal had that sort of attitude where she seemed annoyed instead of helpful. I definitely wouldn’t recommend it.
